I feel bonded to those of you waiting for tomorrow's 1/29 docking of the CARMEN -- I will watch for your good news since my little family is also awaiting a new BMW 330i convertible arriving on that ship. Not my precious car BVLGARI, the sparkling MINI, which is floating soon on the FALSTAFF, but instead a wonderful other car for our household. We are so lucky. Two great new cars, but I'll bet mine is prettier!!!

As the Carmen docks on the East Coast the Hercules Leader will finally be docking in Port Heuneme.......Come on and unload those MINI's.......

Don't know how you know about the work order, but my MCS got to the VPC on 1/27 and as of today 1/28 noon was checked out and waiting for the next transport to the dealer. Crossing my fingers for you.

My dealer left me a message last night that I can make an appointment to pick up my car on SATURDAY! I don't think I have to remind you that it is the first day of February.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it to the dealer until next week. Club Feb has great numbers of rare colors, so lets see em. PW/VR/SG, and all of the classics too.

It looks likes everyone's Minis, with the exception maybe of Mini-Rolls' (Sorry to hear of your setbacks. Keep the faith!), are chugging along nicely and should be in their new homes soon.

I just checked the Owner's Lounge, after foregoing my daily check for almost two weeks, and was excited to see I am "En Route." Hopefully, I will be out of the VPC in New York soon and loaded on a truck bound for Chicago.

However, the big surprise came when I glanced at the Estimated Delivery Date and saw February 7th - my birthday! I am not getting too excited, because I think it is a bit presumptuous to expect my Mini to clear the VPC, travel nearly 800 miles, and finish dealer prep in a little over a week. Heck, I was hoping for the last week of February!

Either way, I had better get my can in gear and line up financing posthaste. :smile:

Kecia, me too! I got an email from my dealer today...same info even though OL information still showed me "en route." So, if this helps anyone, that's a 1/10 build, arrival in Charleston, SC, VDC arrival on 1/24, on a truck 1/29, estimated arrival in Dallas 1/31. The AIDA folks are moving out to make room for the rest of you Febbies! BTW...getting an dealer alarm installed... so I'm still able to be in the Feb. club! :smile: :smile:

 

I know this has probably been answered previously, but where is the VPC. Are there more than one? Just wanting to know if my car will have to do a lot of traveling after it gets off the ship in South Carolina...

Like I said, last week was the calm before the storm - just look at all the activity - MINIs being made and painted and completes and Atlantic cruises and VDC visits and dealers calling and emailing - this is what it's all about :smile:

I think there are several, but I don't know where they all are. Its a good question, though. I'm thinking they are near the major port cities which receive MINIs. My MINI is coming to Dallas from SC.
