Did the AIDA actually offload in NY??? My car show's loaded in Southhampton, but not offloaded.... According to WW's page it's destination was NY (not Baltimore like I previously thought, helps if I open my eyes I guess ) and AIDA is underway.

To top it off, spoke to the dealer today to get updated delivery info and they told me that despite what the OL says instead of getting the car on the 24th that it may be another 2 weeks!

Time for an update >>> OL still says en route w/ a delivery date of 1/23. The AIDA left NYC today so my MINI is now in NJ. EMail to dealer rep confirms that I'm picking up Joe Green on Friday, Jan 31. So by February, I'll be motorin' .. woohoo!!!

This website has been awesome and thanks for everyone's helpful nature. I'm concerned about the runflats but have decided to at least try them out ..

gotta get back to the basketball game ...

"According to WW's page" -- I have seen this phrase often in the posts of those of you ready to board and track a ship. What does it mean? Help. I'd hate to have my dear BVLGARI heading to sea without a way for me to follow along. Thanks to this great Feb Club.

Hi Sparkles!
When someone says "according to WW's page," they are referencing the webpage for Wallenius Wilhemsen, the cargo carrier that ships our MINI's across the Atlantic. Here's a link to a page that outlines the steps you need to take to track your MINI at sea:

How to Track Your MINI at Sea

Thanks to fellow MCO'er dbwilldo for compiling the steps on his homepage!

Tony, Thanks so much for the insight on "WW's site." Can't wait; should be sometime this week that I start the process of watching the ride across the waves.
More news from the 1/10s who are starting to get their cars, or are the out there just motoring???

TonyMaguire,

Yes it's been quite, must be the pending excitement of all those CWFFCers sailing the high seas or just having docked at port. In fact, I took a three day hiatus from MCO as I reached my upper control limit. I'm back now.

wactuary,

Thanks for keeping our list going in my absence. Can't step on my toes, have steel toed shoes.

CWFFCers,

Where is the CARMEN? I've tried the links without luck. Looking foward to my MCS's immigration into the USA as it arrives in NYC on 1/26.

More data on the CARMEN
Carmen
But still no trace of "SGUC" (or its previous "S6IW&quot on the tracking pages. Maybe that means it is still in the English Channel?

Not affected by the dock strikes I hope!

I've been pretty nervous about this since I put my $$ down back in October - Now that we're nearing the home stretch, the Mrs. is feeling more nervous than I, me thinks.

At first, I was doubtful of our dealer promising a February delivery, but I had faith in Gretchen. With the looks of most of us Club Feb-ers, I might venture to say that we may have our MINI in the garage by mid February.

Though, we may be somewhat quiet now, it's like the calm before the storm - the flood of shining new MINIs will be arriving on our shores very soon,... and when they do (in just a matter of days, it seems) we will explode with chatter, big smiles, and an urgency to motor!

Peng1;
Gretchen is our motoring advisor too! Unless of course, you ordered from somewhere other than Motorwerks MINI. Our car should be at the VDC now, but no updates yet. Gretchen told us February, and it looks like it will be early Feb to boot. I'll let you know what to expect on delivery if your interested. Your SG will look great, they had one on the showroom when we ordered our car. Three cheers for unusual colors!

Have any of the other 1/24 production group gotten updates yet?
I just got off the phone with ASK MINI and found out that I went 155 over the week-end. Can I ask someone how I find out what ship my MINI will wind up on? I hope the rest of the 1/24 crew can get on the same boat.

I think I'm a 1-24 in 1-17's clothing. I just got an update. Called ASKMINI and found that I am officially at status 160 but more than likely my MINI's on the train on the way to the boat!! Woo hoo!!! The girl I talked to at MINI rocked! I'm getting even more excited than before....

Hopefully I will be able to track the boat tomorrow. Looks like we'll all be riding the waves this week!! Yea!!!!!!

I will let everyone else know which boat my MINI's on as soon as I find out.

My Mini was loaded on the Maersk Wave at 0832 and it is underway!! Couldn't find it on the accuweather site, probably because the tug is still pulling it away from the dock! I'm not impatient or anything...

I am a 1/24 stuck in the 150 mode as of this morning. Frustrating especially if some of my fellow 1/24s are getting updates and changes = completion and ready for shipping. Any other news from any other 1/24 person(s)? Thanks.

Found another weather reporting site that reports by ship call-sign with coordinates: http://www.oceanweather.com/data/. No reports yet from either the Carmen or Maersk Wave, but the maps are kind of cool showing ships' positions...

Aida MINIs In No-Man's-Land

I called MINIUSA today to get an update, since frustratingly, the Owners Lounge still shows En-Route, and WW still shows 'Loaded On Vessel', yet the Aida has Departed for Baltimore.

Apparently those of us who were dropped off in NY are sitting at the docks, waiting to drive over to the VPC. It looks like 2 more weeks before we see it. . . .

Is it just me or does the wait get harder by the day now?

Actually its the fact that the car is now just a few hours away, yet it's going to be at least 7 to 10 days before we get it if we're lucky.

Urgh.... AskMINI said that they should have more information later in the week, but they think there is a backlog at the VPC from the holidays.....

All said, we are also so spoiled, pampered and blessed by the energies of the leaders of CWFFC that we are so missing the most recent update for everyone. Any news or encouragement is appreciated so that we can share the joy of those who are now about to be receiving their dear 'mobiles and those 1/24ers who are floundering in hope of news. Thanks!!!!!
