Kecia, this is encouraging! My estimated date is the 29th, but mine (also on the Aida) has to come quite aways from the distribution center...then the dealer has to install the alarm system...well maybe it will take some time to do all that. Still, from expecting a delivery "some time" in February to this...its impressive, no? You early arrivals...enjoy your cars!!!!

I'm a 1/17er and my MINI is at status #152 - paint shop. I called ASK MINI and found out. So that's my status on my Indi Blue S... Not exactly sure how many more steps before I find that my MINI's on its way home, but I will find out...

Just checked on my MCS at MINIOWNER LOUNGE and delivery date is 1/24/03 - he is on AIDA ready for docking tomorrow ( or already tonight?!?!)
Talked to the dealer today - ordered the alarm - was told will take about 3 days to get it installed.
Originally wanted car for mid March - but rather in my garage in Vermont ASAP than on the snowy parking lot in Albany.
How is everybody on AIDA doing? Enjoy your company and the forum - it is a big help for me. Can't wait to be motoring.

Looks like the next shipment set for sail and the club is growing. I was hoping I could stay long enough to sneak a peek on MINIhune when the Jupiter Diamond arrives at port but gotta leave a week before

NOW I GET IT ... the intense focus and frustration of waiting for a status change. Still listed at #150, but encouraged by reading all of the 1/10 and 1/17 postings which, great for all of them, showing progress, shipping and upcoming delivery. I can hardly breathe; how can we hardy 1/24s survive? Can we send cookies and good wishes to Oxford as the craftsmen/craftswomen begin working on our dear 'mobiles?

Not sure that would help you get your car any faster. I was actually in London for the New Years and we wanted to head up to the plant for a visit on the 6th. We found out a few things, first despite what MINI says the plant is in Cowley which is outside of Oxford. Second Oxford is a gorgeous town. Some of the colleges around the University are incredible.
Third (and this came from my dealer) was that the plant is not entertaining visitors....yet. BMW/MINI are planning a new facility to accomodate prospective owners and allow them to watch their cars being built. However right now the original MINI plant is not designed for it. We were hoping that if we paid them a visit they might be more inclined to work harder and faster on our car I know wishful thinking, but there's something about this car that does it to you!. But at the last minute we bagged the excursion.

Great news...thanks for the update! My baby (on the Aida) has to get to Texas somehow so its hard to imagine a timeframe for that. I'll try to keep track for the March/April bunch. I guess I'm a romantic...getting my MINI on Valentine's Day seems appropriate don't you think? Trying to be a realist here.

Ok, so I haven't called 866-ASK-MINI, yet,... but I'm gonna today. See, our SG MINI is scheduled for production, but I'd like a little more detail that I don't think I'll get from the MINIUSA OL. Any advice for a 'virgin caller'? I see some of the more experienced clubbers have done this multiple times in a single day

I figure worst case scenario we'll have our cars in our hands in three weeks. Best case, we'll have a few hundred miles before February even gets here. But I'll never desert my Club Feb brothers and sisters. NEVER!

For those of us on the west coast here is an update regarding the numbers MINI's coming to Port Hueneme.....
Hercules Leader - 178 MINI's onboard - due to arrive 01/28/03
Jupiter Diamond - 155 Mini's onboard - due to arrive 01/30/03
These are the next two ships to get to Port Hueneme, that gives the VPC 10 days to clear out the MINI's off the Takamine. I think we are in pretty good shape.
Talked with Northwest Mini yesterday and they are expecting to receive 40 MINI's in the next couple of weeks. Out of the 40 only one is not sold. That is PW/BL MC, CVT and loaded......It is getting down to the wire just can not wait to drive 'TIGGER'

I just called ASK MINI and they said my car should be leaving the paint shop today. James told me it looks like it might be heading to Assembly (stat#153) later this afternoon. He told me to check back on Monday and they should have an update for me then. So, there it is. For a 1/17er, I feel like I'm being left behind by the others...
