Looks like we have quite a few people on here who's MINI's are being built this week and next. Myself, Sjwass, San Marino & Abbett for sure. At least a couple of us will be on the same ship.

I just got in $330 worth of accessories I ordered from Classic.

Build week

San Marino

Originally ASK MINI (live person) told me week of Feb. 9. My MA was totally clueless, she was giving me a March date, then when I called the automated system it told me Feb. 23. Same day, I received my VIN in the owners lounge. My MA still says she can't find me in the build status, so I am left wondering if she even checked. Guess I just have to believe in the MINI karma! I have to say that the tracking thing obviously has some bugs, but I guess it all works out eventually. Once it is in my hands I'll always know where it is.

P.S. My wife has forbidden me to order any more accessories as I have already done about 800$ worth of damage on shift ****, leather boots, K&N intake etc... Maybe I'll have to start getting stuff delivered to work so she won't know!

Remember, they are LOADING the vessel too before it leaves SC. They are probably done gettting your car off. Mine was discharged at 16:50.

How did you determine yours has been discharged? I can't figure out how to find any info on mine through the South Carolina Port website.

I plugged my vin into the auto-tracking box on the WW website. I figured it would let me know when I was off, since it said "loaded" when that happened on the other side of the pond.

Not long now chaps!

Just an FYI... I called my MA at 11:00 am this morning and was told that my MINI was already on the train to the VDC. The discharged time listed is also 16:50. Sounds like they were all "discharged" at the same time--and were most likely already at the VDC at that time!

I am astonished!

This morning 1-866-ASK-MINI told me that GBMINI#3 was built (one day early), now tonight I discover that it is ALREADY LOADED on the TANCRED

So where do I find the sailing time of the Tancred?

I'm pretty amazed myself. You are hitting the times just right, or the stars are all in alignment, or something. GB#3 gets into NY on the 25th. It left today.

BTW: Your call sign for the Tancred appears to be LALX4

.

Thanks ... does that mean I can track it on the water? Never was able to do that with the Carmen back in 2003.

(now need to read up on tracking on the water threads!)

Yeah, I plotted the Resolve all the way across, until maybe 12 hours outside of NY.

Here's the site I used.

Hey Ian (GBMINI), looks like our babies are shipmates! Be sure to post if you see the Tancred on the radar (www.sailwx.info). I've checked several times today and it seems it's not out there. Hmmmm...

Cheers,

The OL still lists mine as "en route" and 866-ask-mini says "in transit...ask your dealer for details..." Again, according to my MA it should be at the VDC by now.

Ok, how do you find the "booking number"?

If you see your VIN listed on the Don Quijote booking number then I would say its on its way.

Ok, off topic, but... Why do you suggest he marry her, just because she would laugh at a MP movie?
