Congrats!

I'd strongly suggest you ad the LSD option... For a relatively low factory cost ($500) Not only will the car perform better, but it might be a great selling point (assuming you'd like to sell car eventually).

Question about color specs in the Owner's Lounge

We got our production number on 23 Dec. 2004 for our MCS, Feb. 2005 build. The Owner's Lounge at MINIUSA seems to show all the options correctly, but the exterior color (which I specified as EB/WHITE) shows only as Electric Blue. Is this normal or should it show the roof color also? I notified my dealer about this but have not heard back.

Cheers,
Dave

hey dave -

as long as all the specs are correct when you call ask-mini then everything should be cool. the ol site doesn't always update and/or show everything.

congrats - drew

Ordered from Mini of Nashville. Great group there. I am scheduled for 5th production week. They are estimating mid-March delivery. Can't wait to try out the steptronic and motor on and on and on....

I think I am finally in a group. No confirmation but after some prodding my dealer said that I am his first build for February. Ordered in December so I have been really anxious. They weren't straight up with me about the wait, but I chaulk that up to the salesman not being in the loop as the sales manager is. So hopefully soon my on order status is changed and Hammond begins to breath life.

MCSC - Hyper blue, black top, DSC, Cruise, Front Fog, Cold weather, interior body color, OBC, cloth.

Can't wait. Just in time for the weather change. Would have been nice today it was in the high 60's here. Oh well.. soon enough.

Sooner than expected!!!

I just called ASKMINI this morning and their automated system finally had a production date for me. The really great thing is that the date is way sooner than I expected. Because I was the last order from my dealer for February production, I just assumed it would be built towards the end of February. ASKMINI says I have an estimated completion date of February 2nd. That sounds more like January production to me but I am sure not going to complain. I was orginally told April or May for delivery. This could bump it into March!

Right now there is a beautiful PS MCSc being built in a factory in England with my name on it. Unbelievable!!

I spent the whole day yesterday in bed with the flu. All of a sudden I am feeling a lot better.

Sweet!!!!

Imagine my surprise: when we ordered our MINI, our MA told us that we'd get the earliest possible 2/05 build date, and we were pretty happy with that. A couple of weeks go by... it gets scheduled for production... and all the while I'm thinking "cool, it'll get built in the first week of February." Then I read this thread, a couple of posts up, seeing that you can find the exact build date on the order tracking page (I hadn't seen that yet), so I just went to see when our baby was going to be built, and...

...It had been built already! The Jackal is currently awaiting transport! Hooray! What a lovely Monday surprise from our friends in Oxford. If things are moving ahead of schedule, it could be good news for some of you all as well! Now the real countdown begins! Awesome!

(Thanks for listening.... )

We're production neighbors! ASKMINI updated my status to "...in production with a February 2nd completion date."

I would guess we'll be on the boat over together as well.
