Delivery timetable ... my current GBMINI#2 was built week of Jan 10 2003 and arrived on Feb 14 - but it was stuck at VPC in New Jersey for a week so it should have been quicker.
For north east deliveries, 4-5 weeks is as long as it should be; a few days extra for further inland and I guess a week or more extra to the west coast.

And to prove it, I just edited in - New Jersey & Charleston are east coast ports.

Amazingly, the MINIUSA web site now says En route..., so our car must have boarded the Carmen (call sign S6IW) bound for Pt. Hueneme. It sails today (14 Feb.) according to the Southampton web site. Hope yours made it aboard also!

Both MINIUSA and the OL now say my car is in route, however, tracking on the WW site with the VIN is not working. I can only assume it made it on to a ship from one of the other carriers. Either way it is coming and that's good enough for me. I do not think I will bother my MA with it.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but can someone tell me what my MA should be able to tell me? To date, I've had way more info about my production status of my car than my MA.

Should he know the ship I'm on? Booking number? What should I ask for?

My car went to "in transit" status on ASKMINI as of today. The best I can make of that would be that it's on the Carmen which sailed today. However WW doesn't recognize my VIN on Auto Cargo tracking, so maybe I'm on a different line (K-Line or KYB - for which there isn't really good tracking info - correct?).

I've just learned that I need to ask my MA the correct questions. He's a great guy, but I'm not sure he's as saavy as thiose of us obsessed with where our beloved Minis are.

The Southampton site also says the K-Line vessel Hercules Highway car carrier sails today, however the K-Line site only shows routes to the east coast US from Europe.

I think the confusion here is that perhaps K-line charters WW ships to take cars to Pt. Hueneme. Hence our VIN's do not show up on the WW site. This sort of thing is really common according to my wife, who does software for a shipping company. Most likely both of our cars are on the Carmen.

So the Tosca now apparently left on the 9th as planned but not arriving into NY until the 18th, 2 days behind. Yet the OL estimates delviery at the dealer as the 19th. Which would be awesome, but I tend to believe WW's site. Hoping for a 21st delivery since my wife has off of work and I will take off to get the new car.

Too much information is bad. :D

 

Could someone tell me where on the OL you can find delivery estimate? I am 2 days from landing at Charleston, but don't see this anywhere.

I think once you get to a certain status (not YOU, but rather your pending car), that's when "estimated delivery date" magically shows up... I can't remember if that was on 866ASKMINI, or the Owner's Lounge, or both...

The all-over-the-board nature of the level of service between MINI dealerships is well,... frustrating...

I was kept apprised (read: made a pest of myself) by my MA all the way... He knew the boat, the dates, etc etc, basically all the stuff that folks in "waiting" mode pull their hair out to obtain - I counted my blessings and drew down my account at the 1st Nat'l of Good Karma (lol, I been saving for just this emergency )...

I will get around to writing a nice review for Patrick MINI in Schaumburg, IL, and my (well, several of the) MA as well, to recharge the good karma. Order placed the last week of November, and I was motoring on January the 10th!

shipping out of southampton tomorrow and arriving in new york on the 24th, baltimore on the 26th and georgia on the 1st of march.

it looks like all systems go for my car to be loaded on and shipped out tomorrow.

At the track the mini page, let the graphic load. On the left where the steps are listed the bottom one is where the details are is Review Order detail. This shows detailed status like estimated date at dealer. Also confirms you cars build.

oh yeah, mine was built 2/2/05, its coming over on the Resolve, which will be here thursday, hpefully, i can have the car by the end of next week, if everything goes well.

There is no estimate for date of delivery on mine under "review order detail". It only lists en route.

Mine is on the resolve as well, and under Review order Detail I do not have a delivery date either. Though it should be here by the end of the month according to my Dealer.

My mini came off the production line on 2/9 and as of today I have not been able to find it schedualed on any of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen ships. My Vin keeps coming up as No tracking Info available. Another interesting thing is that as of this morning the Mini OL is reporting my mini enroute? Anyone know if other shipping lines are being used? Also the Mini OL for me has always been several days behind the times as far as reporting my cars status..... Should I be getting excited that my car might be closer than I expect?

Where's my rig? (fireman talk, I sometimes drive 110ft ladder truck!) I am trying to find my Mini CooperS also. It is listed enroute last night on OL. Ask Mini says it left port 2 days ago headed for Cincinnati stopping in Charleston. WW has no record. Also my very attractive saleswomen says it is due to dock in Charleston the 25th. Anyone else have a Mini headed to Cincy? Let me know if you are tracking a ship headed to Charleston!

If you are due into Charleston on the 25th then you must be on the Tancred. It left Southhampton on the 17th.

 

Nothing comes up for my VIN# on the WW site...

 

mine shipped out today on the aegean leader and is due to arrive at the vdc in new york (jersey actually) on the 24th!

A lot of us seem to be having this problem. I was really hoping to know what ship my car was on so I could track it. Oh well, at least it is coming.

 

Hey RednWhiteCooper. I saw (in another thread) that you have a Ghia. There does seem to be a plethora of us aircooled nuts that own new MINIs.

Got any pictures? Is it out of the paintshop yet? How much restoration work did you do?
