Stranded at Port
Well it's look's like I'm stuck in port, it's been 7 days...
I know that other MINI's have been stuck for longer....
so I'll just have to wait and wait...
Merlin better get here so that i can get all the goodies put on at the dealership and in time to get Vanity plate.....
+ in time to get down to TAIL OF THE DRAGON....

After it makes landfall...
My MA qouted 1-3 days at VDC and 1-3 at dealer. Sounded pretty quick to me, especially since they've got to install a aero kit for me. But I saw another person or two in previous month threads with similar times so I'm hoping.
I'd love to have mine by the 19th too, for the next DC Area MINIs breakfast!

What is this co-pilot live? Also, why change the S badge for a Cooper badge?

Hey Feb. builds on the West Coast...
Who else's baby is at MOTH awaiting shipment? I talked to MA Mike today and there are 2 other MINIs that will be making the trip across the country with my Daisy: someone in San Jose (howdy, neighbor!) and another in Arizona. So fess up! Who are you???

Any idea why the VIN no longer appears on the WW shipping site? MINI appeared on the dock 3/2. I was first booked for Elektra, then pulled into Resolve. Then on the Resolve departure date I was "waitlist status". Now my VIN is no longer in the system.
Anyone have this same issue? I assume they haven't re-booked me?
This is killing me!
I just want my MINI!

I was looking at the resolve call sign at sailwx.info
and seems like they made quite a progress.

Any chance they could arrive in NY earlier than scheduled?

That's the short version of what I learned from ASK-MINI
Good luck on the shipping!

Wow - my order date was Jan. 19, and I am picking up at the dealer today, March 9, only 6 weeks later. I have a lot of sympathy for some of the participants here, I see order dates from Dec. 2004, with no end in sight! Wy is there such a disparity in order/production/shipping times, destination to East vs. West coast aside?
Goodbye everybody, good luck!!
Goodbye everybody, good luck!!
Sorry temporary Brain disconnect, it's not a Cooper Works Badge but a John Cooper Signature badge... I should proofread my posts once in a while
You can see the badge here:https://www.plminishop.com/view_prod...=RDAH106060MMM

As for the badge switch, it's not a Cooper badge, but a Cooper Sport badge from a Classic Mini, you can see it here:

CoPilot Live is GPS navigation software from a company known as ALK. While not the cheapest out there, I've found it to be fast, accurate and easy to use especially the latest version. If you have a cell phone that you can tether to your PDA or laptop depending on the version you buy, the software will connect to their Live website and you can allow people you've given permission to, to see your position, send short text messages, and even update and change your route for you. The key here is that it only works for people you have given permission to.
Plus they are in the process of adding live traffic updates and reroutes to the system.
You can find out more here: www.alk.com
I've had it for about a year and a half for use with my PDA in our Subaru and really like it. It's why we decided to ditch the Nav on the new S (we have it in the Cooper), for half the price of the Factory Nav, we could upgrade my copy of the software, buy a second copy for my wife and buy the second GPS receiver and PDA mount. Even if I needed to get my wife a PDA to use it with, it'd still be about $1000 less than getting the factory Nav.

If everything goes as expected my baby will be unloaded in Charleston today. I feel so damn lucky considering the shipping SNAFU's that seem to be happening. Should be motoring next weekend

Going to the Dragon I need my MINI NOW!!!!!

Congrats, PassatDoTd
Happy Motorin'
Hi Void...
Hi void, you buy at Sterling too?
I dunno looks like they're on track for the 13th still to me. But I watched the WW site a lot and they adjusted the dates there several times. In case anyones not aware, after you put your VIN in the WW site and pull up your car, then click on the voyage link (it's not a obvious link) to see if there are any further updates to the schedule. They do update those dates.
Hoping I might get the car by 19th for the next DC Area MINIs breakfast at Tate... And I'm booked into Fontana for the Dragon, and will be well and truly though the break in period by then too.
A co worker of mine is involved with the Capital Area Truimph Registry club, and they host a annual car show for ALL British makes, 'Britain on the Green' at Collingwood Library on April 24th. Just off the GW Parkway between Oldtown Alexandria and Mt Vernon.
Info at http://www.capitaltriumphregister.com/ looks like fun and I and my new MINI are planning on attending.

signing off...
hi everyone -
i have really enjoyed this thread and am so glad that as the person who started it that it "caught on" as the place where we have all tracked our cars. now that many of you are in posession of your minis (or close to it!) i think it's time for me to sign off and wish you all the best of luck and happy and safe motoring. i'll still be on the boards, but i feel as someone who now has my car that the constant updates of ship and delivery tracking may feel a bit out of place for me ; ) feel free to pm me if you so desire - otherwise i'll see you around the other threads.
happy motoring! - drew

It seems like we are the middle bunch as far as getting our cars in time. For a minute there it was like people were getting their cars weeks after ordrdering it now cars are getting lost in the system and stuck at the docks.
