O.K. Here is a photo of the Resolve, from a while back when she was known as the Tanabata.

At the U.S. Department of Transportation Maritime Administration Homepage at http://www.marad.dot.gov/offices/carriers.html If found that the mv Tanabata of American Roll On Roll Off (sub contracting to WW I believe) was renamed the mv Resolve.

Then over at http://www.shipphotos.co.uk/pages/tanabata.htm I found the photo of 'ARC mv Tanabata'.

I'm going to dive in to researching from the ARC side next and see what else I can dig up. Call sign is wcz5535 by the way, and current tracking is available on

Just got off the phone with my Dealer (MA?....what does that mean?). I called him to to give him some finance info he needs to send to my bank......well he was like "guess what we just got in?".... YES!, I can't go see it today though because I am going to be out of town for the weekend....and guess what is going to be the only thing on my mind the whole time.


Now the bad news....He told me that they are waiting for a template so they know exactly where to drill for the Sport-Link install, so he is shooting for a next weekend Pick-Up . I ordered the Link like 4 weeks ago so that he could HAVE everything needed when the car gets here. Oh well...one more week!

 

MA is motoring advisor, Glad they got your car in, don't worry, you've waited so long, another week won't be too bad. Send us pics when you get around to it!

Oh yeah. I was very attached to my '04. Getting better all the time though, the '05 with the (in my opinion) improved gearing and LSD is great. Plus I like the anthracite headliner and the new interior lights. Plus the Xenon's, plus, plus, plus, yep, getting better all the time!!!! Love my MINI:smile:

Errr! THe Wilhelm Will... site is down. And with the Resolve just closing in on NY. I sure hope it's back up by Sunday!

 

As of 7:45 this morning it was up and the scedule had not changed...

 

Just checked the site, still up and still on schedule...

 

The MINIUSA web site finally says our MCS (6 Feb. build date) is at the Port Hueneme VDC. Projected delivery date is listed as 16 March. Is this the date it is supposed to get to my dealer? If so, then we get it a few days later!!

Should be the date it's ready for you. But it doesn't take into account any delays or backlogs at the VDC or if you're having your dealer install an accessories before delivery etc...

 

Thanks for this info: K-Line! My MA also confirmed VPC arrival 3/18 in SC. So now I know why I wasn't on the Resolve and somehow my MINI was on her way!

Was skiing all last week. Blissfully unaware of my MINI's progress, but now I am back and have an insatiable need for tracking progress. Does anyone know the call sign for the Andes Highway and how to track it?

 

My baby is at the dealer and will chill there until Friday when I pick her up.

Let us know how you like the Auto tranny when you get it

 

No problem. Big week for me...picking up the MINI and trying to buy a house. I felt the MINI needed it as an accessory.

 

The owner's lounge says I am en route. I have gone on to the WW website under auto cargo and put in my VIN. Nothing comes up. Am I doing something wrong? Could someone else try it? VIN is WMWRE33555TD99429. I appreciate it. I hate the not knowing.

 

Seems like you're doing everything right - you could always call your dealer and see if they know anymore information - sometimes your MA does, sometimes they don't. Mine always knows about the same amount as I do, there are plenty around that know more, and plenty that know less.

 

Phone Ask MINI ... Ask them if your Baby is on a K-LINE ship, mine is and i had the same trouble with the W/W site........so they (ask MINI) said that i was on CARIBBEAN HIGHWAY that left Southampton on the 7th march due into Charleston on the 18th March.....

So you are not able to track the cargo on the K Line site right? You are just taking the word of Ask MINI.

 

So it's the 13th... Resolve should be in New York and my car should be offloaded today.... But it's Sunday and W&W hasn't updated the status of the ship... So I'll assume it's here and check back tomorrow...
