I think around the same time end of March begining of April but mine has the JCW to go on ....

Another 'at the dealer'!

Just got my call. MCSC just got to dealer. Even with Pre ordering the Aerokit is the holdup. It isn't due in till tomorrow sometime. My MA is off Thursdays so looks like a Friday pickup.

Think I'll sneak up tonight and get some pre aero pics.

I hate my MA.
She never gave me any calls.
When I called for an update, she would simply say she'll find out and never call me back.
She added on wrong packages, when I called to add accessories, she just shut me off saying do it after I get the car.
Must have been a big mistake buying from a new sales person

Wow... the VDC was fast.. Car got to the VDC sunday, it shipped yesterday, arrived at my dealer this morning. Less than 24 hours at the VDC is a really fast turn-around.

lucky you, my "Stealth" MINI along with Rye's Mom's MCSc, may take a few days to get out and to the dealer. But I can always knock on wood whenever it is present. Plus I plan on having Wallenius forward an email to the captain of my ship!

Make sure you honestly answer the comment card MINIUSA will send you after you get the car... They are going to push that you give them all 5's on it, but it doesn't appear that they've earned it...

Right now I'm dealing with the VP of the dealership as my MA is on vacation. I really wish the MA was back as it's great dealing with him, the VP is a nightmare... I've been waiting for him to give me prices on accessories for the car since JANUARY!!!!!

I told them in January what I wanted so that they could make sure everything was in stock when the car arrived because I refused to make multiple trips up there to get everything done. So if they don't have everything now, either they loose the sale on the accessories that I want (the only thing that they really make any money on) or they discount those accessories even more...

My MA is great - takes a little while to call me back (usually because the dealership is small and he's always with customers), but he's always treated me well and been more than helpful. I remember that card - I filled it out before I left the dealership. Make sure you answer truthfully, it's important.

WoW, how did you do that?? I called my MA after lunch today and he said my mini was released to the BMW trucking company this morning, so still on track for the delivery at the dealer on the 17th. Could it already be at Sterling??? Any way if you drive over there tonight, did you see a yellow MCS convertable w/web spoke wheels?? Do you know the location of the D.C. breakfast? Thank

Checked with the dealer, mine hasn't made it either but will probably be there in the next 24 hours...

As for the breakfast, that's the monthly DC Metro MINIs breakfast at Tate MINI in Annapolis. Third Saturday of every month unless otherwise noted in the DCMM forum

Arrg. I knowing the MINI is there, and having to wait until April 9th is harder than waiting for the MINI to finish production and get to the US. It's actually almost a longer wait

Might be a longer wait than that ... when I enquired for GBMINI#3, it turned out no-one in MINI USA had even realized a new alarm kit was needed (because of the low washer fluid indicator).
I have been told end of March before the new kit becomes available.

Make sure your dealer does not install the old one - which replaces the low washer fluid indicator with a red light, which has nothing to do with the alarm!

Finally it is here!

I checked the MINIUSA web site today and it said our car was still at the VDC, Port Hueneme, CA, expected delivery 18 March. BUT our dealer, East Bay MINI just called and said it is HERE NOW!

We go down tomorrow afternoon to pick her up. It has been a long haul from 4 April 2004 when we placed this order!

Dave

...at Dealer

Didn't see your note till now. I don't recall seeing a Yellow convert but I only had eyes for... Sorry. I did just check the pics I took and it wasn't close to mine...

Too bad you'll miss the breakfast. Just hoping mine will truly be ready Friday to take. Just talked to my M.A. and he said they won't be done with the aero kit till mid day Friday, so we're moving my delivery from Friday A.M. to late afternoon.

My MINI arrived Tuesday at D&R, but won't be ready for pickup until Monday of next week, which means I won't be able to make it down there until that Friday or Saturday. Does dealer prep usually take this long? The only dealer installed accessory I'm having done is a window tint.

Thread death

It is interesting to watch this thread dwindle as Feb. builds get their cars. They are no doubt much too busy motoring to keep checking. I guess that is the natural order of things.

To those of us who are still waiting, it probably won't be long now. Mine is at the VDC, so in about a week happiness!

I do enjoy seeing the photos of everyone's new MINIs. Keep posting them!

Picking it up today!

Dealer called and said they had the wrong part number for the alarm.
The correct one is back ordered and they don't know when it'll show up.
so I'll have to pick up the car and come back later for the install.
Woohoo I'll be driving in my new car tonight!!
mmatarella did you see a ds/w mcs there?
it's mine

actually, as the creator of the thread, i've been watching ; ) but you are right - now that i've had my car for nearly two weeks there is less to talk about... unless you'd like to see the mods that i have installed!
