My MCS was loaded onto the Madame Butterfly exactly 5 hours ago at 18:21 UK time (14:21 in the East Coast).

Says booked on Terrier on March 2nd, though a post here listed that ship as March 4th with 'arrival' of March 12th at New York.

Anyone know where cars for VA are unloaded? NY, NJ, SC?

Mark
I would think Charleston, but I could be wrong.

sj - did you go to this site, http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto , and input your VIN# to see if it was loaded? If it did get loaded on the MB then that site will tell you. If you click on the link and get an Error Page just click refresh till it loads. It happens sometimes. If you want to see its schedule click on the Voyage Info number.

Waiting until March 4

Hey thanks for the hints. I did enter the complete VIN number and also checked all the VINs via the booking number. That showed me all of the MINI's that got loaded or left. Of course I wasn't the only one left behind as some of the other MINIs didn't get loaded either. Some of them were even produced before mine was, so I guess they are probably even in more agony. Oh well, I just hope we catch the next one!

Thanks Aulden, I was loaded on vessel at 1858 hours according to the tracking site.

Now we have to see if we can locate the madame butterfly's progress on the map site

Perhaps a bit pessimistic

Maybe I am just being that half empty kind of guy, I guess it is possible that that my number hasn't updated yet. I guess I'll check again tomorrow. If it still says at terminal I guess this thread will become a little less fun....at least until next week!

Zippy and I are happy for all those who know they are on the way!

Resolve Mini Delivered!

Well, another Resolve MC was delivered to its owner today! I took Delivery of Sooper at Classic MINI in Mentor, OH at about 7:30 PM Tongiht! I quickly learned that after not driving stick for a year, you tend to forget some stuff . Well, i drove around for a while and ive racked up a whole 50 miles on the odometer so far (7 When it was delivered). I can't wait to post pics after school tomarrow. The HK system was more than i had ever expected, and they even gave me free MINI floormats. I installed my carbon fiber dash kit when i got home and i have a few problems, but all I have to do now is get the door inserts on, if I can ever figure out how the hell they fit! The car is MUCH BETTER than my Corvette and the Karmann Ghia combined! I cant believe how much fun ive already had!

Sooper
Born - 2/1/05
CR/W
Grey W/Grey door panels
White 5 Spokes
HK
Fogs
CF Dash Trim

Cant wait to drive Sooper to school in the morning!

Hi nrminers05,

Thank you for the Welcome. Congratulations on Daisy's arrival to US soil this Sat!!! You will be driving her along 101/280 in no time!!! I didn't order mine in the bay area either - March is less than a week away, so you should get Daisy before you know it!!! Look forward to motoring with you and others in the bay as well!!!

Now on Resolve

Now I'm booked on the Resolve due to leave 3-4-05 and arrive 3-17-05. Also an asterisk placed next to my VIN indicating waitlist status-whatever that means.

Why oh why do they put the day first, that is just wrong ... like putting the steering wheel in front of the passengers seat ... but I guess not as wrong as calling a cookie a biscuit, ahem

Progress of the Carmen

Today the Carmen, bound for Pt. Hueneme, CA (due on 5 March) has passed into the Panama Canal area. I missed seeing it go through the Gatun Locks (early morning here). I will keep an eye on the Miraflores Locks web cam to see if I can spot it there.

Cheers,
Dave

Wow. Cool. I'm on that boat too and thought it disappeared when it went off of oceanweather.com. I was going to use a webcam recording app to try to get a picture, but the pancanal.com site uses a java app so that doesn't quite work. If you manage to capture a pic, will you post it?

Thanks for the news.

Carmen through the Panama Canal

Will post a pic if I see one. Right now I see a cruise ship going through Miraflores Locks, and I think that it is the same one I saw a few hours ago early this morning passing through the Gatun Locks. Hope I didn't miss the Carmen when I was coming to work.

That asterisk probably means that you are guaranteed to get on the next one and bump some other poor slob off who has already been booked.......not that I'm calling you a poor slob because you were bumped That does suck though. Heck some people have litterally gone from ordering to transport in about 2 weeks! (I'm looking at you GBMINI )

Well after a lot of looking around the web it seems as though the Madame Butterfly NEVER calls in. the thing was built in 1981 and there are NO records of it on the sites I having ever called in once. People on the MINI2 forum were going through the exact same thing a year ago. So it seems that we are all going to have to just let this part of the ride go and wait it out.

MINI's coming in to Sterling...

Do a ride...sure. I'm down in Alexandria VA, about a mile from George Washington's Mt Vernon home. In fact I was thinking of hosting a cookout for the new spring arrivals. It's a really pretty drive (though not challenging) down the GW Parkway along the Potomac.

All, I'm booked on the Terrier, sched to depart on March 4th and arrive in NY on the 12th. I've got the tracking sites from these forums, and the call sign of the Terrier is LAKA4. Anyone find a photo of this ship? The Wallenius Wilhelmsen site has some photos but not all ships and not the Terrier...

Hi mark, I have a yellow MCS conv. on order from Sterling also. In production now with a completion date of 2/26/05.

Tryed to get some info out my MA today, but he was not very informative.

If all the ducks get lined up in a row. I am hopeing I can fly up from NC on
3/19/05 to pick it up. I'm going to Hawaii after that and would not be able to get it till 4/8/05.

It's all good!!!

Perhaps we could do a Mini ride around the Photomic, Maryland area.

It's not my fault ... I didn't ask for special treatment ... not much anyway
