Ramussen got the car supposedly Monday and said we wont't have it until Thursday/Friday. Seems like a very long time to "prep" a car.

Picked up my MCS at Mini of the Woodlands, near Houston, and brought it 2,200 miles home to CA. Aka DeMesa, my MA, made the whole experience a real delight and made buying out of state a simple procedure. It's always a pleasure to deal with people who know what they are doing and do so in a professional and polite manner.

The LSD works great in snow. A snow storm in northern Arizona, with an excursion on to a Forest Service road with 8" of the white stuff, showed the option does work. It was apparent that the wheel with the most traction got the power and that power would switch wheels as conditions changed. This car ought to perform well on the autox course.

What really surprised me was how the Mini felt the same at moderate speeds of 50 to 60 mph, as well as 80 to 90 mph and above. The steering did not get a light feel at higher speeds and at all times the car feels like it is much heavier than it is. It does stick to the road.

I hope everyone enjoys their Mini as much as I do!

Tim

Bumble's made it home

We picked up Bumble Saturday and despite driving her home in the trecherous Houston rainy traffic all is well. I couldn't be happier with the car and excellent service from Aka at MotW. Everyone there made us feel like family and the unveiling in the showroom was a memory me and my family will cherish. 5 stars all around.

Got the car!

Just had to post that we picked up the car yesterday and it is fantastic!

Everything went well with South Bay Mini and during the drive back the car kept surprising and impressing us with the various upgrades/changes.

Great day, great car!

Wiggles looks Nice!

Its the first Red/black combo I've seen without the bonnet stripes. It will stand out.
