Well its been a process working out the kinks..
1st had a coolant pipe split and have to replace that then I had to adjust my exhaust as it was heating up underneath and making my shifter smoke then had to get a new belt , then i had a fuel injector harness come off and had to replace the clip then a new idler pulley, then a crank sensor EACH time having to put the car in and out if service mode which now lol takes me 10min to get the whole front end off, no lie !
so I FINALLY I had it running perfect and OMG its sooooooo tourquey now. I feel like it added alot more tq than it did hp , it really plants you back now . Its one strong feeling 4cyl lemme tell ya. It gets up to even 130mph and had breath left. Even at 70 it pulls hard I LOOOOOVE it.. I also feel like it lost 0 bottom end power too
but NOW MY SUPERCHARGER JUST BLEW UP ! lol ugh !
sooooooo now I'm talking to another member and miiiiiiiiiiiiiight be going with a sprintex supercharger, I will know in a week..if he doesn't want to part with it I guess I will go back to a stocker..
I also replaced the side scuttles for the final chrome delete. I also exchanged my hood scoop as the old one had a alight imperfection on the top if it that always bothered me.
I also bought and got a set of coilovers I was going to put on but will probably now wait until I get the engine up and going again.

Yesss, R50 scuttle power! Looks cleaner

I can recommend the dynamic sweep indicators, they look better in real life than on video.

I like the black scuttles!

Stinks about the supercharger. I would take it apart and see if the rubber coupler busted.

How is the perceived build quality of the Rev9 coilovers? They look nice from here.

I have but lack of tools for custom work and being scared to dive that far into it rite now..
I got new coolant hoses ordered , dt bpv , replacement supercharger and few other things so as it goes back together there's no stone left unturned.
I FINALLY got a set of carbon fiber mirror covers that fit perfect after buying 3x from 3x different vendors.

Yeah I hear ya. I have a bad habit of biting off more than I can chew then running out of time or funds (or both) and ending up with a project that is nowhere near the vision I had when I started.

On another note, I LOVE the carbon fiber! I have a pretty big list of parts I'd like for my car already but but if I ever I get the suspension and tune where I want I'd love to start throwing some CF into the mix.

Put on all the new coolant hoses and clamps , new crank sensor and new cam sensor , installed the Detroit tuned bypass valve , got a new dip stick tube ( mines shot from removal so many times) , new serpentine belt and they warrantied my old one even though I brought it shreds of the old one THNX NAPPA and I rerouted some wiring better..
soon the sc goes on once I remove the old pulley and it should be ready to go..lol ready to go and put on the coilovers then once she's a running perfectly healthy. I don't wanna be dealing with suspension AND engine issues at the same time so one thing at a time..
plus I'm still fighting 2x asseabsess teeth im waiting to have surgically removed and im sure they're whats caused my 2x ear infection too..lol SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS ! omg the pain never ceases but I just keep trudging on.. all in the love of my cooper.
BTW this ebay hose kit is an amazing deal, it replaced every coolant hose and the bpv hose and they all fit BETTER THAN STOCK and now no more stupid pressure clamp majiggies or worrying about getting it back together just to blow another hose. This kit replaced from the rad all the way into the heater core , I am very pleased with that purchase .
I'm gonna have to do some touch up painting too once all done under the hood.

The minmonster is FIIIIIIIIIIIIXED and running great and OMFG OMFG OMFG idk what made such a HUGE change in my car but not even the head n cam install added this much oomph. Unreal unreal unreal . All I did was replace old sensors , new tensioner and belt , and a low mile coated supercharger and a dt bpv..and OMG 1st gear is just useless at any speed if you hit full throttle its gonna light them up..it FLYS through the rev range so fast now I'm actually hitting off the rev limiter sometimes because I'm not used to it spinning up so dang fast.
so happy , now comes coilovers after my 2nd surgery in 2 days so wish me luck with that guys as the faster I recover the faster the coilovers go on.

Mini, question -

Your tow hooks, do you really need them often to leave them in place, or are they just additional weight and an additional place for red ?

Mike

New sensors, tensioner and a different S/C shouldn't have had much effect. Curious to know if you think the Detroit Tuned BPV made that much difference?

I think it might be. It goes to max boost INSTANTLY now ! Before it kinda was like a new turbo car it built max boost quick but not as quick as I felt a supercharger shoulda. It doesn't make any more boost or vacuum than it did with my old sc but man,it just seems 10x more efficient. I wondering if the new cps helped some too as it may not have been getting the full amount of timing advance due to the old aged sensor.
if my old sc was worn n stuff , wouldn't it not have built full boost ?? Or could it have taken more rpm to make that boost due to rotor wear or something ?
This sc i put on was super low mile and the rotors were legit perfect in it. I personally think its the combo of both a better condition sc and dt bpv... but either way I think I can officially say I'm happy now with this cars power , FINALLY ! I had such a shiteating grin on my face driving last night , I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CAR !
I also like too how much attention it gets , I'm usually one to stay low key n shy but I do like all the thumbs up ect I get while cruising around here.. thankfully where I live this is a BIG car community in this city and even the cops around here are very easy on us car guys.. they don't care about illegal exhaust or driving with no hood on. So long as you don't be a jerk like doing 100 in a 45 they don't care.

got a early Xmas gift from my friend, I been giving him lots of mini things lately for his r56 and help him anytime he needs work done to it and the other day after I let him drive my car to feel it out he said, " man you need these far more than I do " so I ended up with these , I then of course painted the lettering and I'm deciding what color to do the rims and BLACK is not an option .

That's a hell of a friend!
As far as color is concerned, have them anodized red . Seriously though I like the silver...or gunmetal.

Started my suspension and braking project with the easiest 1st..got this off a fellow member. It said that I had to drill holes for it but my car not only already had holes but they were tapped too unfortunately the supplied hardware was too thin to fit the threads, is that factory or could it have previously had one of the vip engine mounts ? Still waiting on parts to come but I might start soaking all the bolts and getting it ready.. I used my milwaukee impact today for the 1st time and I love it , I can't wait to get the right angle hand held one to quicken up the process even more.
In the pic you see with the magnet stick holding the bolt. Thats how I got it in there and lined up with the bolt to start threading it and once on enough I put on 2 wrenches then. Easy peazy install..
