Should I even bother ????

THX TRUMP !!!!! got my little stimulus that I didnt plan on getting soooooo 1/4 for the mini and 3/4 for bills but the mini gets a present..
I have considered these coilovers for awhile now but want some opinions.. I know I know they are cheap BUT mine on my car are of unknown age and mileage and IF they are still oem they have 200,000 miles on them now...
so I would be comparing these coils to my existing suspension .. I dont feel like my stock suspension is worn by any means but I feel like it could be better and like the fact that I can have an adjustable ride height and dampening..
What I would expect is that they would perform better than used old stock ones, install with no modifications and last 3 years 30,000 miles..the reviews on them seem good. what I be stupid in assuming that these would be better than my old oem ones on the car ?
I'm trying to find though if they can be set to stock ride height , I dont want ones that cant.. I like my stock ride height but would like the ability to drop it for racing and different rims.
I figure it would be a good starter set as I've never owned or used adjustable coilovers.

You get what you pay for.

Konis are on sale right now. I’d spend an extra couple hundred bucks and buy some FSDs if you’re keeping the stock springs.

edit: missed that you want to maybe lower, which FSDs won’t allow.

KONI yellows for lowering, top quality. Bilsteins are touted loudly on the forum as well but I'm not familiar with them so you'd need some research on that.

I'll second the yellows. They're what I have on my car. Even on sale though, they're quite a bit more than the $285 those coilovers are listed for.

Right now ECS has Koni oranges for ~$440.

There are probably other quality options for lowering on a budget, but the only brand I have experience with lately is Koni.

I think the sales on Konis means you can get a full, brand new set for under $500.
