TEIN Adjustable Coilover Suspension with EDFC - any info?

TEIN Adjustable Coilover Suspension with EDFC

Does anyone have any info on this coilover set up?
I have the opportunity to get one for a good price and want to know if it is any good before splashing out.
It comes with the in-car electronic controller which I believe allows you to adjust dampening "on-the-move" although I havent confirmed what the controller lets you adjust...

Just after any advice/info etc as I have nothing at all to go off at the moment!
Thanks in advance

I haven't been a fan of tein products on other cars at all. But i've never tried them on a mini.

The in car damping adjustment is gimmicky to me....i'd rather spend the money on a better coilover. i'd rather have good damping then be able to adjust crappy damping from inside the car!

Give me a few hours - putting it in this afternoon I'm gonna try to take some good pictures and post a writeup - keep a lookout. I've installed one so far - if you're not VERY comfortable taking apart your car, I would leave it to a professional.

I heard about the Teins from someone that tunes MINIs in Miami - I met him and saw his car at Bring on Winter this past December. I'm not sure how to get in touch with him, but he seemed very happy with them - he had been running the on the track for a few years and they were very durable - he said that he broke a set of BC coilovers in short order. The only thing that he mentioned that is worth worrying about is that the spring rates are much higher than most other coilovers - this can lead to a harsh ride and much stiffer bound than rebound.

Like I said, I'll make a thread with some pictures and how the install went... I also will have the car aligned and corner balanced after the coilovers are broken in - I will be able to make a proper testimony to the coilovers then.
