Programing Lights and Doors

I have a 2006 JCW...I did some searching , but have not seen what I'm trying to do. Where or how do you program daytime lights and how do you do the same for the key fob to open windows and sun roof.

Or is this something that has to be done at the dealer?

Thanks,

trip to the dealer is needed....and I don't think you can use the key fob to open the windows or roof...you might have to ask them that

On my two MINI's, I can close the roof and windows using the key in the door....but not open them

My key - hold down the wings and the roof and windows open. Thought they were all like that.

This. Don’t pay dealership rates to do something easily DIY-able.

I agree...however that's my question. HOW do you do it? Is there a thread that I have missed?

My 2003 will do that, as it came from the factory. I hold the unlock button on my keyfob, and eventually, the windows and sun roof will start to open.

There is the BimmerCode app, but it doesn't support MINI's further back than 2008 (ie, R50).

Start here:

http://bmwcoders.com/forum/bmw-gt1-o...tool-winkfp-1/

And use the information / link in this post:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4450602

This is basically everything you need to select a cable, get the software, get your software talking with your cable, and then figuring out what is where once you connect your laptop to your car. A bit of studying, and you'll have dealer-level capabilities with your vehicle. There's a member on this board that also has a means to load tune files and there's a tuner on another board that'll package the data up based on mods. All done via easily-purchased cables. I have not yet done it myself, but I can PM that user's info / forward the info I have if you decide you want a tune as well.

Can buy a cheap INPA Kand D-Can cable. In order to recode the car as you wish, you must use NCS Expert sw combined with NCS Dummy.

NCS Expert sw is delivered with INPA cable on a CD. NCS Dummy can download here
