Thanks for that kind offer but I think I want to be there. Maybe we could hook up and you could escort me to the stateline...or to Madison. I think I have to stop there first before I drive home.

I'm with you my car is probably in Colorado now but I have to wait til checks come in the mail for my finances to be available before I can take delivery. Hopefully they will be speedy but they said 7-10 days. I guess I can't be upset with the dealer if they take a while to prep my car since I'm not ready yet. Hang in there.

Hi again!

I know "I'm outta this stinkin'club" but keep stoppin' by to see how you all are... Will we ever be out of it , really?

Barky, loved the news!

...was especially glad to hear from Hazzard since "Mick" was on the boat with_____???? Have you named your MINI yet, Hazzard? Enjoy the drive home!!!! :

It sounds like some of us are in the "Can't Wait For Spring Club". The good news is that our cars will be all broken in by the time the weather clears....

Hi Barky, JB and gang:

Just received from askmini...

RE:Aux jack in Harmon kardon radi [#55025]

Hello Ron. Thanks for writing into MINI via the Owners Lounge. Where if you have mojo, then you are a VIP.

Actually, all 2003 MINI Cooper and Cooper S models will have the input jack on the back of the selected stereo head unit that will be able to play MP3 players, CD players, PDAs and other desired equipment by the motorist. If your authorized MINI Dealer is unaware of where this feature is or how to access it they should consult the technical support hotline that we have set up for the entire authorized MINI Dealer network for assistance. They will instruct them on where this feature is and how to access it.

Due to the the unusual design of the input jack these accessory equipment items can't be plugged in directly to the outlet for usage. MINI is currently designing an adaptor for the input jack to be used with this equipment, which will be mounted either in the glovebox, dash or somewhere on the console. This should be available within the next 30-60 days.

Please stay in touch with your authorized MINI Dealer and with us here at MINI Division for the availability of this adaptor.

Additionally, the CD player or optional CD changer can play CD R and CD RW disks.

For additional questions, please continue to stay in touch with us via the Owners Lounge.

LET'S MOTOR.

That is good, I got my Ipaq, and wanted to use it as an MP3 Player, and mabye Play some movies on it..

Delivery Update.. Possibally tonight.. Depending on this financing fiasco.. BMW Financial... the only people to turn my credt down.. I was approved by another car company to finance a whole 20K car (didn't get it though) but BMW Financial didn't want to approve me for the lease.. trying Mini Select Financing now... We will see... worse comes to worse, my parents said they would cosign, and once I graduate college, I will refinance it with out them... but I will do my best to get it tonight..

No name yet. Will have to consult the family on that. I'm prone to names like Fluffy or Magilla. The kids might have different ideas.

Transmission update:

The service manager at Moritz MINI called to report that the new transmission arrived today, but some special tools required for the swap are not in house. He arranged to overnight them, so mechanics are set to do the deed tomorrow. He described the problem as a misalignment in the transmission which caused persistent grinding noise when shifting to second. Since the car was still drivable Moritz could have delivered the car with with the problem unfixed. I am pleased they chose not to.

Looks like I'll be able to start serious motoring Friday!

Hi MiniRon
Thanks for the news about the MP3 connection. I want to connect my Sony minidisc player to my system.

El Guapo, Great news about the transmission. Sure sounds like your dealer is doing all they can to keep you in the January club.

Now Minirolls, as an honorary member of the January club, you must keep encouraging February clubbers to visit us. Just remember, the January club was the first to reach 11,000 page views! It is really great news that Tigger will be back on solid ground soon!

MiniPilo.. hang in there. things will all work out.

JB

Well. It's Jan. 28th. My baby is still listed as being at the VPC. Looks like I'm gonna slide into the top of the "Can't wait for February Club". Still hoping for a miracle....

HI Binx
Hang in there. Mine was listed at the VPC, and even calling MiniUSA listed it at the VPC although my dealer had already called for me to pick up my mini. It seems that towards the end, the dealer has much better informtion.

Congratulations MiniPilo!! That is fantastic.
How does the new coolant tank differ from the old? Did the dealer say? Just curious if I too have the new tank in my mini that I picked up last week.

The previous post was number 666 on this topic. Hope that's not a bad omen.

We need more posting! This topic is in danger of dropping off page 1 of the MINI talk index.

CharlesWil,
While we appreciate all the posting you are adding to our club I don't think you'll find many of us switching over. I say once a January club member always one. We've bonded and made a home here and a few calender days aren't going to change that.
