What was I thinking saying October would be okay??? I'm a 7499... I'm like week 37 or something crazy like that. PW/B even though I'm officially on order for production with no date and I keep wavering as the red one in town constantly drives past me and taunts me that white is... well.. white... I'm going mad. I no longer hold out hope that the whole thing will ever really happen. Sigh. Anybody? I'm wearing out the website and phone line. I need serious sedation.

OK, anyone else on the Isolde?

I'm assuming los_blankeys is, like mine, a MOTH car. Is that the case?

 

By the time we get the cars we will all need serious sedation.

In all the years of owning cars, I rarely knew where to find the VIN much less have it memorized.

 

I know! Isn't that funny? I can still recite the VIN to my 03 Cooper, as well as the 05 MCS that's on it's way But for any other car I've ever had: no idea whatsoever

My MCS is done and it has been Received at the terminal It is booked on the MAERSK WIND but I can't find that ships call sign listed anywhere.

 

Go to http://www.wlna.com/www/WEP/index.jsp click Cargo Tracking, then Auto, then type in your VIN.

According to the Port of Halifax, NS the Jingu Maru is docked!!! 2 more days and the MINIs on board will be unloading in NY/NJ Can not wait now if I can only sort some stuff out with my dealer..... argh (I will get into this very shortly if they do not start doing things properly )

Are you guys LOADED ON VESSEL yet? Katie's ready to rock and roll.

I'm still crossing my fingers that she'll be loaded tomorrow after the ship sets sail (it's still docked at Southampton right now).

 

For what it's worth, just called by my MA and my MCS just entered production today with an expected completion date of 8/22. I was originally given week 34 as my prod date schedule. Prod # 7474058

Just talked to my parents who live in GA and looks like we'll miss the huricane that's coming that way soon. According to my dad, it's supposed to do some damage to the coast from Savannah to Charleston. Haven't looked it up myself.

I've been watching the WW site. Finally at about 6:00 Southampton time they listed the patriot as having sailed.

It has been fun watching the reports as they loaded the ship. The Car was loaded at 11:36 this morning.

The satellite picture of England on Weather.com showed good weater around Southampton and out to sea a ways. We'll just have to watch what comes out of the Caribbean. I hope Charleston can weather the storm and be running at full speed in 11 days.

Sportty went into production on July 29th ... and completed on August 10th.


And now we're stuck trying to find info on shipping. Argh! First 21 days to get to California ... and then now info to see how it is progressing! I'm so jealous of all of you getting cars on the East Coast!

As of yesterday afternoon, My MINI was completed and released for distribution two days earlier than expected!!! Now the waiting will really suck until we can figure out this whole west coast shipping thing...but thats ok with me, I know I am closer than I was when I started this process in January.

For everyone on the Patriot, we are in the Celtic Sea south of Ireland this morning and the weather looks good. :smile:

 

I'll say. I know my wait has not been nearly as long as many of you (ordered mine first week of july), although I suppose I have really been waiting for a MINI for about 16 years, since I first fell in love with them. Just had to wait until my income caught up with my desires - hard to justify buying a MINI when you have 3 kids and one on the way.

I searched the entire country for a decent production date slot and Devin at Autohaus of Clayton hooked me up with a September delivery. MINI of Murray here in Utah has a 7 month wait - even longer now, I think, with the Cabrio in the mix - and I don't know if I could have survived that long. I thought two months would be a nice short time frame...but it feels like 2 years!
