No prob, asaulo1. I agree it's frustrating, however I'm beginning to believe we were placed on an earlier ship going out on NYK. There are a number of ships getting to SC a few days earlier on NYK, and although I don't have any confirmation, the guy at WW *did* say they were on another carrier, and we can assume the only other carrier MINI uses is NYK, so I'd say there's a very good chance it's on the Genoa or the Faith, both of which get into SC on the 21st. My fear is we won't know till they get here though.

Just think, you're probably one of those lucky few who's MINIs just show up! Granted, I would hate not knowing too, but like mlebeau said, they could show up earlier than us on the Patriot. May the force be with you.:smile:

Well, here's to Katie's birthday! We cracked open a nice bottle of rum for the occasion. My hubby had a great idea that every Aug 10th we should make it a yearly motoring day in celebration. I thought that was a great idea!

BTW, I called ASKMINI and got the scoop from their end via a live person. He told me that Katie is sitting at the factory waiting to go to port. Not sure who to believe considering the WW site says I'm 'Received at Terminal.' I'm gonna assume I'm at the port ready to go!!!

The guy I talked to at ASKMINI was the friendliest one yet! He asked me what I ordered while my stats were pulling up and whether or not I got stripes. When I told him about my idea for the custom decal on the bonnet he went on and on about how the MINI is made to be customized. VERY friendly! And he told me to call back as soon as tomorrow morning, if I so desired!

 

So far I have one set of X-Lite's with Run-Flat snows, A spare 17' runflat, one set of Genuine MINI driving Lights, and a set of 'S' rubber mats..... just waiting for the MCS:smile: ...... I am going crazy!

 

You guys have completely lost it!!! I can of course say this since mine is in production and I have nothing else to freak out about. Good luck with hurricane tracking and port foul-ups !

Thank ZenAudio, I have already noticed a little "weather" heading up the eastern Atlantic.

The heat sounds good, we had 47 for a low last night and it's heading to a high of 60! This is cold, even for Minnesota.

 

I've updated my details. My MA gave me the VIN today and said it will be built starting next Monday.

My CR/W MCS with CR dash, will be built either the week of Sept 6 or 13th, so they told me this morning...I don't have a clue as to when it will be here in the States...it will go to Classic in Ohio and then on to San Diego.:smile: probably in October.

Ok I just spoke to a person at ASK MINI and "Rex" is near the end of getting his red and white coat, and then on his way to assembly. The MINI rep said he should finish sometime Thursday or Friday, then on his long journey to the west coast via aa untrackable mystery ship.

It was pure luck i was placed on the JINGU MARU, my car finshed production the day before it left port. I have been checking the http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html#search site daily..... I am concerned about all this horrible weather we have been having here on the east coast. I also read a nasty rumor somewhere that they have been bumping cars for the NY/NJ port to South Carolina due to supply chain delays and the issues with security and the back log at the port itself I am hoping it is just a rumor, I can't wait much longer and I want to enjoy the car broken in before I have to throw the snow tires on her!! Hope the journey is smooth!!:smile:

 

Hey there 2005LY and HB05MCS=== you both posted the status codes for production and transportation of a MINI. If ones MC is in production, where do you go to get the current status code? Do you have to talk to a rep at askmini?

 

I guess I'll jump on the list too ...My car is complete and awaiting transport ... now if only there was a way to track shipping on NYK! 21 days is a long wait without any more info! :smile:

Are you sure you're on NYK? I just figured out some great info. NYK Line and K-Line are two completely separate shippers. I thought I was going to be on NYK Line but it turns out they use K-Line for some shipments to SC (I know you're coming into Port Hueneme, but still). I finally found out today what ship my car is on, after my VIN disappeared from WW about a week ago. My dealer gave me tracking info with a bill of lading number, estimated arrival 8/21 in SC on the Caribbean Highway Voyage #20A, callsign H9ZW. If your car has already left the port, then your dealer will have your bill of lading (BL) number. Once you get this, call the number at the K-Line website (www.kline.com) and ask them for what ship it's on, when it's due, etc. My dealer was able to forward me the info directly from their website, and I called to get more info. Enjoy.
