You might luck out and sqeak by in August, but I doubt it based on the typical ordering dates of the August thread. For instance, I ordered mine at the end of June. Scheduled for production typically means you can talk to a real person at 866ASKMINI and they might give you a date/week.

It showed up in the OL today. I checked under "Review Order Detail" and it shows the VIN. I don't know what port I am supposed to come into, as it is scheduled to finish production on 8/22. I am having it delivered to Mini of St. Louis in Clayton MO, don't know if anyone can give me an idea of which port it will come into based on that?

 

Oh...guess I have never looked at the "review order detail". My Mini is coming to Indianapolis, so you may be coming to Charleston also. I got that info from the order confirmation that my MA gave me when I ordered.

Mine is on the Patriot also. Much of the info about your car is coded into the VIN.

Things are really moving fast (knocking on wood). I called on 8/16 and they said my car was finished. Well today, on a whim, I went to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site and entered my vin. It was received at the terminal in Southhamton on 8/16! It's booked on the Freedom to Charleston, SC. It's due to arrive in Charleston on 9/3/04.

I got awesome news today! My car arrived at the dealer today 3 days ahead of schedule all alone no others were delivered with it(the electric blue next to her was a used '02 that had only 3500 miles on it!!!!), very excited!! My MA called me and I left work to go take some photos of it and come to find out it has the NEW cupholder!!!:smile: I do not think it is very functional but it looks a bit nicer than the previous one. I also was very pleased with my choice of the grey leatherette, it is simply amazing by far a great choice b/c it is 2-tone like the space cloth seats but not cloth and you cannot tell it is not leather, and I have had cars with fine leather it is a real close call. Hyper Blue is much better in real life than any pictures on the web as of yet, I took some that really look good so hopefully it will give people a better judge of the color.:smile: I am just so excited, I am leaving for Hawaii in the morning which is also exciting but I can't wait to get to drive the MINI. I started it up and today and the exhaust is noticibly louder and pops on decceleration, so great! Hope this is making everyone excited b/c it truly is a great car and good luck to everyone. ( I will attempt to post some pictures but I am not sure how to.....)

Have an EDD of 8/28 in the OL! Now to decide whether I can stand whatever wait there will be before they can ship my car out, or if I need to fly out and drive back. :D

I called the automated system tonight (11:30pm MST) and was told my car is IN TRANSIT!! woo hoo!!! every second I sit here my MINI is inching closer and closer. So all you West Coasters waiting for a ship, better check on your status, we may all be on the same boat. If you find anything about the ship let us know.

hb05mcs - man, that is so sweet!!! didn't know about the gray leatherette option... looks awesome... I would have definitely gotten that if only I knew... either way..... looks great.... can you post pics of the dash with both speedo and tach (since you got the chrono package)....

 

Thanks a lot to everyone, I took a huge plunge getting both the gray leatherette and HB w/o seeing them prior. So glad I did it!! I have not taken delivery of the car yet and only have one picture of the Speedo/Tach setup it is not so great b/c when they parked it they left the wheels turned... But I will post it anyways. After I take delivery I will put up many pics. Good Luck and I will be back in a week and then pick her up next Thursday!!!! :smile: Couple of pics backside new lights, autodim rain sensor, and the 2 guages.

Good News!!! Like mlebeau, I looked in OL and saw that they've posted an estimated delivery date of 8/27!!!!! wooohooo...... now I wonder when it'll be put on a truck to get to me in Cali..........

 

Well, I was just getting used to the wait, when Wham! pictures from HB05MCS. Now it's started all over again.

 

well, a carrier did arrive today from the VPC with a bunch of BMWs and a MINI..

but alas it was a BRG/W MCS, not HB/B so I guess I'll be waiting another day or two before I can see it

 

The Isolde is supposed to dock tomorrow with my Mini aboard, and the Miniusa site shows an EDD of 8/24. Now it must take more than that to have the car ready to pick up. I've heard some people complain that it took the dealer almost a week to prep the car! Is that the estimated date of delivery to the customer or the dealer?
