west coast minis

FYI: Askmini is saying that I am loaded up on a vessel!!

The Southampton site (which I've been logging) has the Ho Jin as the last NYK vessel departing on 8/16 - no NYK or K-Line vessel has left since then.... I can't find online a route or schedule for HoJin... so don't even know if its headed CA way.....

Coast guard has the call letters as YJYN8 - so see if you can find it....

Let me know if anyone else is loaded and one the way; or if you've gotten a departure/arrival date from your MA!!!

HB/B MCS was completed 8/5/04, transported to dock 8/6/04, awaiting transportation 8/6/04 thru 8/11/04 (OL did not update to "In Transit" until evening of 8/13/04).

No knowledge of what ship it is on, but an satisfied that it is bobbing its way across the Atlantic to Panama, then up the Pacific coast eventually getting to the BMW VDC.

I hope to see it the 2nd of 3rd week of September. I am trying not to think about it as I have been waiting way too long.

YEEEAAA! My Mini has finished production and is awaiting transport. I checked the ship information and I'm scheduled to go out on the "Liberty" on 9/3/04. My question is: how come it takes so long getting from the factory to the ship? I'm curious what the average time has been for you guys that are on the ships? My car was completed on 8/17/04.

Thanks

Katie's production date was 8-10, but she was actually Received at the Southampton terminal that day. She set sail on the Patriot on 8-13. The OL and ASKMINI still say she's waiting at the port... whatta they know???

As you follow the car around the clock on the Miniusa site, when it reaches the point where it is being transported, the fourth stop I think, the info on the left will show the "EDD."

For what it is worth, my car is built and arriving today in New York, but there have never been any details on the order in the Mini site, so do not expect them to appear.

Patriot is speeding

GREAT NEWS! Looks like the Patriot is going to get into port on the 22nd instead of the 23rd, as scheduled.

VESSEL: PATRIOT
VOYAGE: EB421-PAT

Still, the SC Port Authority doesn't have it listed. Anyone know why this is? The Isolde is listed and it docks on the 25th.

She appears to be heading into nice weather with calm seas and light winds. The 22nd should be do-able.

I have tried to find the shipping schedule for NEAT in New Jersey, but have not had any luck. I have not been able to find a port where the Patriot is scheduled to dock. I guess we will just have to believe in WW's scheduling ability.

The Beanbag Has Set Sail

Checked out the WW website and my car (Beanbag) was put on the Maersk Wind which set out to sea on the 17th. Anyone else on this ship?

Any truth to the Pirate rumors?

spoke to askmini and they said that I actually left on 8/16 - there were 2 probable vessels that day:
call sign 3ERP5 Emden K-line
call sign YJYN8 HoJin NYK

now just have to figure out which one is headed for the Canal... will start checking Oceanweather for those two call signs....

getting closer!!

The Port Authority now has it listed, but it's still saying that it arrives on the 23rd when the shipping site says it arrives on the 22nd. Maybe it's just not updated yet.

She's steaming along at about 18 knots and has been for the last 12 hours, at that rate I would estimate that she could make Charleston late tomrrow.

Given the possible weather conditions encountered at sea, I would imagine that there is always a fudge factor built into every schedule.

The anticipation builds....

dls: where are you getting this information? Doesn't the Liberty leave on 9/3 and arrive in SC on 9/13? I'd love an early jailbreak, but that seems too good to be true.

Wrong side of the bars,
Mike

Governor's Pardon?

Just checked the WW website for s#@ts and giggles and have been re-received at terminal today and rebooked on the Freedom which does arrive in SC on September 3rd. It does say that the "cargo is on waitlist". I guess the jello is still jigglin', but I'll take what I can get as that cuts 10 days off my EDD .

(see bottom of message)

I'm one of the few on Isolde, which according to WW has departed NY, but my MINI's still listed as "Loaded on Vessel"

On the bright side, so's every other MINI with that booking number, so I'm hoping that it's just a lag on the web site.

Anyone else know how long between unloading and updated status on the WW site?

****Never mind, I now have wheels solidly on the ground as of 13:33 today!
