Can anyone else on the Patriot see their VIN? Mine suddenly disappeared from the WW site!

 

same here..... I tried this morning and now it says that it's not there.... I wonder if they were loaded on a different ship to get it stateside sooner..... I hope this is the case.....

 

I checked the website today. I have a vin number. :smile:

I'm going to have to stop checking everyday as it is driving me crazy.

AskMini just gave me the word that The Car has finished production and is awaiting transport. 2 days ahead of estimate. With lots of luck it will get on the Isolde next Wednesday.

 

I wouldn't count on it, but that would be nice. I don't care what it is as long as we get out by at LEAST the 12th!

So, even though I decided I wasn't going to call again until the 16th, as that is when the person I spoke with said my car would begin production; I called the automated system today. The automated system said that my car was in production and should be completed on the 16th. So, I'm not sure which to believe. Begin on the 16th, Complete on the 16th. I hope it's the latter.

 

In my case the automated system was mostly correct. It listed completion date as the 9th, and The Car is listed as complete today. The person who told you not to call back must have been having a bad day. All the people I talked to seemed to expect that we would be calling often.

I have read that the frequent tracking by customers is a part of the marketing strategy at MINI.

 

The Sheriff went into production on August 5 with a completion date of August 17. That seems like a long production time, but I'm not complaining after that endless "On Order" wait. Any other Cabrios on the line? My production number is 74743xx.

 

I checked the Owner's Lounge today, my MINI has finished production on schedule, Aug 6th. It is now awaiting transport! I don't know what ship it'll be on. I tried plugging my VIN in on the WW site, but no information was available. I guess I'll have to check again in a couple days.

 

It's starting to feel real now! Katie was in the paint shop today.

Has anyone heard if the parcel shelf will fit the 2005s? I betcha they will, but since I haven't read of anyone installing one yet, I'm just curious.

 

You are ceartainly right, when I heard this morning that The Car had completed production and is awaiting tranport, I began to see it sitting in the lot, waiting. I can now visualize it as a car rather than a pile of sheetmetal between a bunch of robots.

 

So do they produce these in the order of the production numbers? Mine is 74740xx and still is listed as "On Order." ZenAudio, is yours actually listed as in production in the Owner's Lounge, or did you get the info from ASK MINI?

 

There are numerous posts for this question already...... in short it is arbitrary, has no impact on production date.

asaulo1 - Nope, still nothing as of this morning.

 

Did you by chance do a print out of the info and have your booking number? If you do or can find someone else that has their booking number for the PATRIOT you can see all of the vins on that boat and sometimes their is an A and a B listed (I do not understand this). There 86 others MINI's on the boat with me and you can see them all listed.

Also as I had posted in my original tracking post... it is common for cars to be removed from the vessel and bumped to another, it depends on the cargo picked up prior..... or they may put you on a different Line such as KLine.Sorry hope, it all works out!

 

Add me to the wait. My 05 MC Cabrio - "Nemo" is scheduled for week 35. I'm in Houston, TX and ordered from MINI of the Woodlands. I was # 1 on their waiting list.

YYYYAAAAAAAAHOOOOO!!!! just got off the phone with Mini and the guy said that my car had already started production! I was told 2 weeks ago it wouldn't start until the 15th and he said she started on the 5th. Man I'm really pumped now! Got to get my garage all cleaned up and ready!

 

mlebeau - is your VIN listed on the Patriot today? There are 56 cars listed on today's booking details page.

The Car is booked on the Patriot scheduled to sail on the 13th and scheduled to land in Charleston on the 24th.

For timeline puropses: Started production July 29th, completed production on August 7th, listed on ship August 9th.

 

del - how do you check which cars are on which ship..... I, too was supposed to be on the patriot but as of some time last week, it disappeared from their site...... thanks

No, it was on the Patriot but now it's not. I'm thinking that's got to mean it got bumped up to a K-Line ship or something. I'm about to try to find out how to figure out if that's true.

My MINI is located at approximately 30N 40W.... in the middle of the Atlantic! the Jingu Maru just popped up on the Ocean Weather site (call sign JPPT).

YES!! I'm booked on the Patriot departing 8/13 and arriving Charleston 8/24. Can't they make that tub move any faster!?!?!

 

asaluol - on the WW site, cargo tracking page, click auto, type in your VIN, this will bring up the Cargo Status History. In the upper left corner there is a drop down menu, click by booking number then type in the booking number found on the cargo status history page. Click the printer friently space at the bottom of the list and you will get the VINs of the cars scheduled on the ship.

Has anyone found out which Patriot we are on? The Coast Guard list at least 3 cargo ships with that name. One registered in Malta, one un the US and one with Panaman regestry.
