Newbie to NAM! Excited about finally getting my MCS, ordered on June 20th. Decided to go for an August build, so all the kinks are worked out on the line. Looking at week 32 build date:smile: . The reason why some people get a build date so fast is depending on wether or not their MA can actually order the cars or if it has to go throught the manager and the allotment of the dealership (I asked about this). Can not wait for my baby to arrive from the otherside of the pond....the waiting is killing me . Happy motoring.

Been hanging out in the MINI2 August group, thought I should add my info here. Ordered 6/28, production number 74740xx, week 32 production, and apparently my status is 150, production started. Last time I talked with ASK.MINI before today it was status 112, and today they said the status has changed and it's now 'officially week 32', etc, and since the FAQ says the next thing after 112 is 150 (production started), looks like that's where I am. Woohoo!

edit: I'll be coming into the NY port. I'm in CA but ordered from Julie at Classic MINI of Ohio.

mlebeau - wow... amazing... just read another post about their MCS coming from Julie of Classic... I got mine there too..... although it's still in production..... and also, I'm in Cali. I guess we might end up being shipmates...... and probably be even truckmates..... maybe we should arrange a receiving party when our cars get in... I believe Donhelix is also on the same boat/truck.... I entered production today so it shouldn't be that long now.....

Nice to meet ya. Yep, Julie said she's got a lot of CA orders coming at the same time, which is gonna save all of us some $$ on shipping. I would say there's a very good chance our cars will take the same route here. I'm in the Bay Area.

Car is: HB/B, Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Interior Surface Body Color, Universal Garage Door Opener, Rain Sensor & Auto Dimming Mirror, Navigation, HK, and Leather.

Just found out the car is scheduled to be finished by 3 Aug! Does anyone know what its chances of making it on the Aug 10th ship out of Southampton to NY are, assuming it finishes by then?

OK guys, I have a question. What's up with anthracite headliner? doest it come with anthracite trim?I ordered my car with anthracite interior(ZIA) was wandering if anybody has apicture of that??? BTW I'm still on order . ASK-MINI says scheduled for production with no confirmed date yet?!

from what i understand, the headliner is seperate from the trim. i think it's supposed to be 4AA for the anthracite headliner. if you're still on order, you could still get your ma to add it.

 

Los Blankeys, your right because I ordered my Mini with body color interior trim and Anthracite headliner. I didn't even know about the headliner until the guy asked me if I wanted it.

 

I have a dumb question... are the build numbers in sequential order? I supposedly have a Sept '04 build that is a 74666XX production number... any way to know if this is going to be an early or late Sept build?

Just a quick update.... I called ASK MINI and the automated attendant told me that my vehicle is in production with an estimated completion date of Aug. 2nd..... I guess I'm still on for the "august build" thread.... I can't wait.... now just have to stress over selling my beloved MC... anyone want to help out... here's the specs...

I just called the automated ASKMINI # and it said my MCS has begun production!

The estimated completion date is AUG 4!

 

Called ASK Mini after reading BartMack's post and my MCS went into production and is to be completed on the 4th of Aug. Looks like some of us will be coming down the line at the same time. Can't wait until late August early September

The stupid OL still says 'On Order' with no VIN showing, and no options listed...
Why can't MINI get their act together huh? huh? They built the website to reflect the production status but its not working at all.

 

According to ask Mini, I am now "Scheduled for Production w/ no confirmed schedule date" Now that I called the first time I will want to call every day !
I guess that is a step forward though! If you want to put my production number in the list, it is: 74661XX.

 

WOW... I just realized that my car actually went to status 112 (scheduled for production) on 7/17. I had made a change in my order and have the order mod confirmation from my MA, but did not realize that the status had changed.... mod status is still (A), which is good because on thursday i added the driving lights. And just to reiterate the fact, the owners lounge still has me as on order so it is over a week behind at least!

 

So what was your original production week?

 

I got the glove box organizer for my birthday!!! Everyone thought I was a freak, since most of them had no clue what it was. I was going crazy over this piece of felt covered plastic - my first MINI addition.

First time on this thread. Just ordered on Tuesday 7/20. Supposidly got last car in dealers allotment. Not sure how all this works but was told production was scheduled for August 9th with delivery estimated to be late September. Think my wife is more excited about it than I am. Told her --Hey! you wouldn't drive my '93 Tracker so hands off the MINI Doghouse
