I hit a small bird with the roof today,
Big noise,small bird,Poco won,but took a scar on
the leading edge of the roof
Small, three lines,mostly clear coat
no metalOh well I like all the bugs outside now
Clear coat touch up should make it go away

Man I did the same thing in my Miata and it got stuck in the front mouth opening. I pulled over right away and when I bent down in front to pull out the remains... it flew right by me and on it's way... it survived! I wonder if the bird tells the same story over at BirdForum.com?

Looks like you need a bullseye on the side mirrors. Birds are extra points!

Just kidding. Poor birdie.

I hit two birds about a month ago that were either fighting or "getting to know each other" (ever notice that in the animal kingdom, both acts can look shockingly similar?). Judging from the feathers I saw in the rearview mirror, neither survived.

A few moments later, my wife looked at me and said, "You just killed two birds with one stone...er MINI."

I said, "I love you."

I smashed into a birdie in Ten Sleep, Wyoming. I was just driving along, thinking how peaceful the town sounded with it's 10 residents (as posted on a pop. sign) and then..... WHACK.... right on the windscreen.

I was very sad. I don't think I can ever go back to Ten Sleep--bad memories.

(And I'm not sure I could find it again.)

A few years back I was on my motorcycle and the noise put a flock of starlings, grazing in the median, to flight all at once and as I went by I caught one right down the front of my partially open leather jacket .That I didn't crash is a major miracle and I'm not sure who was more surprised.I managed to power down to the side of the road, unzipped the jacket and the very startled bird flew away totally unharmed.
I too have taken out a few birds off the front of Zane Grey.Hate the feeling, but i'm not about to risk the car to save the bird,I guess I'm just part of Darwin's plan.

Madam treasurer holds the world record of most bunnies hit with a topped golf shot. Nailed two, count 'em two bunnies with the same shot while playing at richmond park some years ago.......
Lot 15...sure hope that bird you assasinated wasn't carrying a US Passport....the 82nd airborne, is sitting right at the Montana border y'know.....

I've hit more than 10 birds while ive been driving. One of them got stuck
in my intake tract on my other car. I even smashed one
with my tire the other day with my MCS. I hate birds due to their
**** muscle contraction during take off.
