This whole thing is making me pretty worthless. I've got a big test in less than two weeks, and instead of studying, I'm checking this board obsessively

Oh, well.

I just called--still 112. But the guy I talked to seemed completely clueless. Nice, but clueless. He seemed pretty confused by the production process, but told me Pigwidgeon is scheduled for completion by 5/20. That's a whole lot later than everyone else I've talked to at ASK-MINI.

I don't know what to think. Maybe I'll just go study .

this has made me fairly useless as well, but when it came to studing for finals, midterm etc... I was always pretty useless.

Oh how I miss those school days!

 

Yeah, unfortunately this isn't finals, but board exams for certification in my specialty (oops).

The perks of being an adult (while still feeling like a kid) are getting to buy fun toys like MINIs. You couldn't do that with your allowance, could you? And, you can eat all the candy you want, even _before_ dinner

Losing summer vacation is still the pits, though...

I think we've come to the conclusion that they are not necessary built in numerical order. I'm guessing it has something to do with options? LIke maybe certain dashes or something and then they will group those together and send them through? Or those that got leatherette as opposed to leather and cloth? WHO KNOWS? It still remains a mystery to me.

I KNOW how frustrating this is. It will be 150 before you know it, and I honestly think the rep had no idea what he was talking about, because they don't give dates until you are 150. Call back again today, and hope to get a different person. Hopefully you will get Marty or Casey. They seem to know. Marty's been the best...

Oh, talk about worthless! That is me for sure. I am totally worthless at work, and I actually have a pretty important job with a Fortune 100. I'm not like upper management or anything, but I have a lot of responsibilities - some of which are not getting done as usual. But I am having just too much fun/agony with this!!

Just got off the phone with ASK-MINI (part of my usual morning routine).

I've been moved up to 151 - the Body Shop!!! Wannamini & MINIMINA, you're probably in there with me.

Turns out that even the ASK MINI computers aren't totally updated. I was talking with Ivan this morning, who said that it still showed 150, BUT that part of his screen was greyed out meaning you can't select a function. So he looked at something else which stated that it looked as though it was in the paint shop. PAINT SHOP! PAINT SHOP!

So Buckass - MINIMINA I bet we're in the paint shop altogether.

So since the computer said I was still 150, Buckass, look over your shoulder, because I bet we are both in the paint shop together. Hey MINIMINA, why don't you give them a call, too, and see what they tell you.

I'll make sure none of my IB splashes onto your CR.

Where's Golikeschnell? Tim hasn't been around in awhile. He's gotta be right there with us, too!

OK--finally got some good info from the ASK MINI customer service line...Darlene this time. Found out that--woo hoo!--I am in the paint shop today, status 152.

Seems like there might be a whole slew of us crowding the paint shop today...y'all be careful not to get your fancy blues and reds on my Pepper White now...

As usual I am reporting in late from the left coast. I just called ASK MINI and Greg couldn't even find the status code for me. He said he could only tell that it is in production and should be done by the end of the week. Worthless! Well, since WannaMini and I are right next to each other in line, I'm assuming that Dobby and Padre (My mini now has a name) are sipping, or slurping margaritas in the paint shop now. I'll be careful not to slop any CR/W paint around but we're not responsible for whatever happens after the plant shuts down at night.

BTW, "Padre" comes from the spanish saying "Que padre" roughly mean "How cool."

Thanks for the tip! I think my rep this morning was already ahead of the game. He said officially 150, but that it was paint shop - he could tell by looking at something else. Sooooo...I bet the ones that are being told 152 - like Golikeschnell, MAY be complete!!!
