ROFLMAO!!! My co-worker is asking me what is so funny, and of course I'm trying not to laugh too loud so tears are pouring down my face, especially since I've seen the video of how the sprayers work and it one gets hit, I can just see it spraying paint EVERYWHERE, and then your comment just totally sent me over the edge

Wannamini,

My CR/B/B MCS was born on 4/28 with an ECD of 5/7.

I AM IN THE PAINT SHOP AND LOVIN' IT!!!

Casey from ASK-MINI says they no longer use production status codes - little does he know. Paint shop = 152!!!

I wonder why your production number is high and you still have two weeks to wait (although the two weeks will go by FAST - trust me!). So yeah, that blows our production number theory!!!

But congratulations! And you know what? You should start production the week before - so you could be in production NEXT WEEK!!!

You're preaching to the choir.

WANNAMINI,- YOU SAY THE NICEST THINGS. "NEXT WEEK" THAT IS SO KIND OF YOU TO SAY. I SURE HOPE YOUR RIGHT.

OH DARN, I HAVE TO WORK NOW!

Yippee!! Woohoo!! Yippee!!

I just called ASKMINI, bracing myself for the usual frustration.....but Jim (wonderful, nice Jim) made my day by telling me, "Looks like you went into production at 6:05am today."

Oh, yeah! I'm so excited I was bouncing around the office. Luckily my co-workers have heard enough of my obsession to realize why I was acting like a goof.

Yay! Yay! Yay!

WannaMini--can you move me up on the list???

OK--was playing around with random VINs on the WW cargo tracker...highest number I hit with a record was TD87215. What's scaring me, though, is the LOOONNNGGGGG time those records show between "booked" and setting sail...several weeks even! I can't be that patient!

No, no. I don't want to wait for weeks sitting on some dock. After the paint shop margarita party Padre is looking forward to the open bar on the ship. Three and a half weeks to the West Coast will seem like an eternity, though. Maybe we can have a Panama Canal Mini Margarita party.

Cheers,

>>Turns out that even the ASK MINI computers aren't totally updated. I was talking with Ivan this morning, who said that it still showed 150, BUT that part of his screen was greyed out meaning you can't select a function. So he looked at something else which stated that it looked as though it was in the paint shop. PAINT SHOP! PAINT SHOP!
>>
>>So Buckass - MINIMINA I bet we're in the paint shop altogether.
>>
>>So since the computer said I was still 150, Buckass, look over your shoulder, because I bet we are both in the paint shop together. Hey MINIMINA, why don't you give them a call, too, and see what they tell you.

i called miniusa today and they said that it still says 150 but he also said that the system hasnt been updated since my mini went into production

Wannamini, how certain are you that these are MINI ships? If so, it looks like we'll be finished in time to catch either the Jingu Maru/Independence or Haul Triton/Maersk Teal.

I'm still hoping for delivery in the first week of June. Hope this is feasible....

Yes, we don't want the babies to lose their buzz sittin on the dock of the bay - would mean the hangover would start as they got to sea, and I'm afraid we'd have some ralphy MINIs, and that would be no good...

Not sure in the slightest which will carry MINIs. The Independence is a very small ship in comparison to the Jingu, so I doubt a lot of MINIs if any are going on the Indepedence. Than, of the Haul Triton and Maersk Teal, same deal - one of them is huge, and the other is small - can't remember which is which.

Remember the commercials for Jenga? Where they'd start chanting "Jenga...Jenga...Jenga..." Well, here we are "Jingu...Jingu...*hiccup* Jingu..."

IJust picked up my May delivery Mini yesterday. They arrived early in Canada this month.

It was raining when I picked it up. Those auto rain sensing wipers work really well, I am pleased I got them.

I will be able to try my heated seats this morning as it snowed last night. (it is Canada, eh)

Yellow cooper S with a white roof. 16" wheel DSC and cruise.

Regards,

Congratulations on your new arrival! I'm happy you told me about the rain sensing wipers. I added them at the last minute. WISH I would have gotten cold pack as it looks like I will be in Ohio for quite some time yet...

I am "officially" a 152 now. Which leads me to believe that he is actually nearing the end of assembly, or even in quality assurance being loaded into one of those trucks (or is it train?) that takes the babies to Southampton. BAR CAR IS OPEN!!!

Going to miss Padre when we part ways in Southhampton. I bet the Panama Canal would be a great party - almost like a cruise. Instead, Dobby's coming across just the Atlantic to *bleh* Ohio. The pothole capital of the USA. He'll be like, "But I wanted to go with Padre!"

I *think* it's almost time to start checking the WW site! I'm trying to think of how we can compare VINS - again to protect anonminity (sp?)

HOLD THE PHONE! *NEWSFLASH*NEWSFLASH*

The Jingu maru is now not leaving Southampton until Saturday the 15th.

We have some good news and some bad news with this.

If you look at normal scheduling for Southampton to New York, there's a ship or two leaving on the weekend, and a ship or two leaving mid-week. WELL, there are no ships at all mid next week. There are going to be a lot of MINIs and a lot of whateverelse needs to be shipped from Southampton to New York. There will be stuff sitting backing up on the docks for a FULL WEEK before the next ship arrives.

And like I said, the Independence is a small ship. I don't know what she's designed to carry. BUT, there will be a lot of competition for the Jingu Maru. Looking realistically like the Hual Triton or the Maersk Teal, gang...

Hola gang,

Happy Cinco de Mayo. I don't want you to think I'm focused on partying or anything but it's Mexican beer & Margaritas all around. From the time I spent in Mexico, I recommend "Negro Modelo", La Crema de Cerveza (Literally: "Black Model, The Cream of Beers&quot. I say we don't give up hope of an early spot on a ship. maybe they'll see us stuck drinking warm stout English beer on the docks and take pitty on us.

The schedule for ships to the West Coast (Port Hueneme Pronounced in California as "Why-Knee-Me"!) :

Origin Port Departure Destination Port Arrival Vessel Voyage Transit(Days)
SOUTHAMPTON 27/04/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 22/05/2004 SIRIUS LEADER N0017-SIL 25
SOUTHAMPTON 29/04/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 24/05/2004 MAERSK WAVE ED412-MWA 25
SOUTHAMPTON 02/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 27/05/2004 PHOENIX DIAMOND N0020-PHD 25
SOUTHAMPTON 09/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 01/06/2004 TANCRED ED413-TCR 23
SOUTHAMPTON 10/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 03/06/2004 VEGA LEADER N0021-VEL 24
SOUTHAMPTON 16/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 10/06/2004 HEIJIN N0022-HEJ 25
SOUTHAMPTON 18/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 12/06/2004 TAI SHAN ED414-TSH 25
SOUTHAMPTON 23/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 17/06/2004 JUPITER DIAMOND N0023-JUD 25
SOUTHAMPTON 29/05/2004 PORT HUENEME, CA 20/06/2004 TAKASAGO ED415-TKO 22

Cheers,
Happy Cinco!
