The first few days are the hardedst. So far anyway. I imagine once production is complete the first few days of waiting for it to load will be harder, then waiting for it ti make it over the pond will be really hard, then waiting for it to get to the dealer will be even worse, then wait ing to pick it up when you know it is so close must be a killer.... well at least it will be worth this agonizing wait.

I know. I tried several times a day. The first morning MINIUSA had me listed as awaiting transport (yesterday, in fact), suddenly my VIN brought up the Patriot. Then this morning, TA DAH, she was moved to the Liberty. Good luck.

My car is PW/B as well, a Cooper though. I parked next to one this morning and left a note under the windshield about what a charming car I thought it.

You're on the line ahead of Pete and I! Look over your shoulder? Where's GoLikeSchnell on the line I wonder? Wouldn't it be so cool to be there watching our cars being made? To follow it as it goes through the process? Although, I don't think we'd want to go into the spray room.

WOW, Winechic...that was so true. I can't imagine how much more difficult this will get!

Just talked to Toby at ASK MINI. According to them, I haven't hit production yet but will early next week. I'm more inclined to believe what my MA told me though...which was that I started this week...but oh well. Maybe you guys are a little bit ahead of me in line! I'll catch up soon...

Yes, but maybe you are a 150 regardless. What does the OL tell you? What about automated ASK MINI? I can't imagine that you're not right there with us.

At first I could not understand why there were so many posts to this thread. Then I started reading through them. Now I understand!

It looks like I'm going to have wait and order a 2005 for a variety of reasons. Now after reading this thread, I can see what kind of absolute nuisance I'm going to be to the MA when I do order it!

I did not realize that we find out the time that they start working on it and when it goes to the paint shop and everything else. Holy Cow! I don't know if this is going to be a helpful thing or just make the process more excrutiating!

Hunter boss, yes - this group is just my speed - MAch 2 with hair on fire. We want to know every detail. I'm sure we'd all want to know every step that our baby goes in. For me, it's helpful, because there's nothing I could do to occupy my time for two months, and this has helped!

When you order your 2005, you will have to start a thread like this one when you get your production week!

Well, Dobby is still sitting at 150. BUT, Marty (probably my favorite Cust. Serv. guy) seems to think that Dobby HAS to be moving on the line. He said there may be a delay in the system and to call back tomorrow or Wednesday for a better update.

Looks like Friday will be his completion afterall (maybe even later at this rate?), which gives him a slim chance of making the Jingu Maru just a week later.

Hi wmba and welcome to the thread! I have a chart I keep that I am about to report actually. Do you have your production number? We are using that - but leave the last two digits off as Xs for privacy sake. Then I will add you to our ever growing chart!!

Does anyone know if MINIs are built strictly in numerical order?

I'm asking b/c my number (38075xx) is lower than wmba's (38078xx). Wmba's MCS is in production (Yay!!! for Wmba :smile, but according to ASKMINI's automated response, I'm still "Scheduled for production with no confirmed production date." ARGH--I hate hearing that .

Wmba, how did you get your status? Maybe I'm farther along than I think I am (I hope, hope, hope).

WHOO HOO my mini started production aug 29 and the mini usa woman said it will be done may 8. my production number is 37970XX

iYello... I spoke to someone at Ask-MINI this morning. He told me that the automated system and the website can sometimes be a little behind... so you should call and actually speak to someone.

Hope your car starts production soon (maybe it already has!!! )
