Maybe I need to get another hobby. Do you think I am too obsessed?!?

Cheers,
Open the hood & check the radiator & underside of the grille.

It's here! Picking up the LY/W MCS on Saturday. It's only been 12 months since I put our name on the waiting list.

Padre Photos

Well, I hope this works. Here are some pics of Padre. The first is my wife and I picking up Padre. After that is Padre after the window tint and California flag were installed.

Cheers,

Oh, his injuries are so minor that nobody could even notice them but me. And of course I do. I've just realized that little nicks are going to happen. :( I kinda wish now I would have gotten the clear bra...

Hello All

Just thought I'd say hello. I have been keeping up to date on you all but I don't have any thing to say since I am at the ON ORDER stage for another few weeks atleast. Wow this isn't as fun the second time around. I think it is because I don't have the fun support group any longer.

Pete, Padre looks fab! love the flag, let me know how the tint goes. I really want to tint mine but I have bad luck with the law enforcement folks. I seem to get a ticket everytime I do something wrong.

Wannamini- You can still get a clearbra, they look fairly easy to install yourself.

Congrats Meanboy!!! Enjoy motoring!

Well back to waiting

I just wanted to point out that one of my previous posts was #1000 for this thread!

Keep it up

I just finished cleaning 1200 miles of bugs off my car. Thank goodness it has Klasse on it

I have an estimated shipping date:

Monday, June 28. From Oxnard to Escondido is 3 hours. Brecht will install driving lights & I can probably pick O2 up on Tues, the 29th.

Of course, I have to sell the old one, first.

Sorry to read about incident. But it looks like it's gonna work out because the '05 seems a few more features I would have liked to have.

Wow, you must be some sort of zen master to have been able to hold off for that long. This will be a great weekend for you. My wife and I have only had Padre for about one week and we already have 600 miles. My round trip commute is about 4 miles! That means most of the miles are just for fun miles! Congratulations!

Cheers,

I bet Lake Berryessa has some fun motoring though--we used to go joyriding out there when I was in college.
Hi Tom,

I guess you're a UCDavis alum then? Lots of Davis grads around here. I went to school in the bay area but have a great job in Sacramento. I will do my best to avoid the dreaded Yolo Bugway any time near dusk or dawn if I can. Have a great time living in beautiful Idaho. I'm sure it will be better when your "stalkee" wife IYellow gets to join you. My wife and I may be planning a driving trip around the Northwest this fall, so I may hit your up for suggestions on fun roads.

Cheers,

Jimskater,

Thanks for the tip! I checked and there was another brigade of the little kamikazees inside the grill. Glad to have them gone. I will try to avoid driving through any other plagues if I can help it.

Cheers,

Thanks to Wannamini and everybody else for the nice words about Padre. Can you see him blushing through the Chili Red? I think he's dashingly handsome and very Cailifornia. Also, I think my wife is beautiful too!! (For the record, I do love her more than Padre. ) We are high school sweethearts and will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary in July! I think we'll be driving to a romantic weekend in Tiburon overlooking SF Bay.

I'll post some more pics when I get a chance.

Cheers,

Thanks!

It should be a good weekend for sure except I have to work Saturday night!!! Oh well, and my commute is about the same as yours too. Just long enough to warm her up.

Oh, and I am able to hold on because I am kinda cheap and lazy...

Home at last!

A quick note to you Maydayers to say I just got home with Igraine. An adventurous drive across Oregon to Idaho. Found some great back roads and saw new country. And the MINI? Just the short version tonight: she was everything I hoped for and more than I expected. What a blast!

So last night on my way home from work I stopped of at Oliver's, the market near my house, to get dinner. What do I see but two minis in the parking lot I was so stoked 'cuz I really need a mini fix, as you all can imagine. So I walked up and examined each carfully. They were IB/B and CR/CR, both MCSs (sigh) so I went and did my shoping and on the way out the IB was gone But the owner of the CR was right in front of me so I bugged him for a few miniute, talking like I was abit crazy, really fast, I was so excited....AHHHHHH 2more months

Hang in there WineChic. You are now a seasoned veteran of the waiting game. How about a wine tasting during one of the weekends in July? My wife and I and our friends with a MINI are interested as well as JCampos and his girlfriend. PM me with dates so we can try to find something convenient for all of us. You can drive all the different MINI's (or at least Padre) to help pass the time.

Cheers,
