Newbie in da haus

Hi gang,

I've been browsing here for a couple of weeks and just got myself a '06 MCSC over the weekend. I know this is the Coupe section but it gets more foot (or finger traffic) than the Cabrio corner.

First off.... FUN CAR !!!

I'll be doing a thorough check-up on the car and need your assistance on a few things...

1. What's a good Service Manual? (I use Bentley for my New Beetle)

2. Where can I buy OEM maintenance / replacement parts? (Online or in Orange County, CA)

3. Independent MINI garage/shop in Orange County (in case I need something major done)

4. Wheels didn't come with wheel locks. What would you recommend?

Hopefully this Mini will be as reliable as my New Beetle. All I ask is at least 150k of relatively trouble free FUN !!!

TIA

Niki

Welcome to the group.

1. Bentley seems to be the preferred manual

2. I use either bavauto.com or minicarparts.net

3. Couldn't tell you I live on the other side.

4. I don't have them but then I also don't have aftermarket rims just 15" holeys. If I changed them I probably would.

- Cool Blue / navy blue top / black stripes
- Sports, Premium, Cold Weather Pkgs...

not quite sure what the Premium Pkg consist of but here are the noticeable features...

- 17" Web-spokes wheels
- Leather seating
- Chrono
- H/K audio
- Multi-function steering wheel
- Rear fog
- OBC
- Auto climate
- Arm rest

That's it. Is the alarm / engine immobilizer an option on the Mini or is it standard?
