Total Mini Newbie, always loved them, so when the opportunity arose to buy a great used one from a family friend, I jumped on it. Perfect compliment to my F150, affectionately nicknamed "The Big Red *****" now just need a name for the Mini.

Welcome to NAM! Yes, it's an R53. The Cooper S is the R53 and the Cooper is the R50. And so on and so forth! Any future modding plans?

 

Yes it's an R53 Cooper S. Since your in GA stop by the shop and pickup your mods as we are in Atlanta.

Plans so far are new seat covers to replace the tired cloth ones, updated wheels/tires, upgraded pulley, tune, gear shift ****, exhaust, etc... But most of those will be over a long period of time, the truck will forever be the main money pit

I might just have to, I'm over in Carrollton off I20 so not far at all. Where in the city are you guys?

 

And can anyone confirm that mine is pre-facelift?

 

Great! Well if you have any questions about your upgrades, please don't hesitate to ask me! The MINI Cooper S received a facelift in July 2004. Some good info about it here.
