Total Mini Newbie, always loved them, so when the opportunity arose to buy a great used one from a family friend, I jumped on it. Perfect compliment to my F150, affectionately nicknamed "The Big Red *****" now just need a name for the Mini.
SC is home but I'll be in GA for the next 2 years or so, anyone near me?
Welcome to NAM and congrats on the MINI! We are in Mooresville, NC! If you ever need anything or have any questions about your car, shoot us a message. If you are ever in the area then stop on by the shop!

Plans so far are new seat covers to replace the tired cloth ones, updated wheels/tires, upgraded pulley, tune, gear shift ****, exhaust, etc... But most of those will be over a long period of time, the truck will forever be the main money pit

I might just have to, I'm over in Carrollton off I20 so not far at all. Where in the city are you guys?
Great! Well if you have any questions about your upgrades, please don't hesitate to ask me! The MINI Cooper S received a facelift in July 2004. Some good info about it here.

Thanks all for the insight, seems it's time for me to start reading, in 2 years I've learned all I could about the F150's, now I'm back to square one again....
You're welcome. Yes, there is a lot to learn about these MINI's. You can read up on the R53's with common issues here. We also have a lot of great DIY tech articles here that provide some great detailed information about common issues/repairs as well.
