First MINI R50

How's it goin' guys!

This is my first MINI, but not the first MINI that my family has owned. I got my love of MINIs from my parents, who own an R55 MCS and a 1988 Rover. I knew when I started looking for my own car that I wanted a MINI, and I scored big-time.

My MINI is a 2005, Peppered White, Getrag 5-speed, with Cold-Weather package and Sunroof. I bought it for $6,800 US. The previous owners failed at preventative maintenance or to even give it some basic love, and I had to put in almost $3,000 worth of parts and labor, and about a dozen or so hours of DIY. It still has some work to be done, but a lot of it is cosmetic.

Keep rocking it guys!

te-chi,
I bought this model and year because I'm a 19 year-old guy. Insurance is crazy these days, and I need to save as much money as I can.

Was only asking,...was looking at some "Firebird or Camaro" as a project car but I may change my mind over to a "R50"....or older....
