Thoughts on this MINI?

Looking to purchase a mini soon, would like to go new, but can’t afford a new one for a few years. Came across this mini today at lunch, and was curious if you thought this was a good deal or not. My thoughts are to also keep this one around after purchasing a new mini down the road.

hey there! My Stella is my first mini, and she's an '05 MCS. I LOVE her! I did a little bit of research on the models, and the '05 seemed to be the newest model year I could afford with the least amount of problems and the most cool features. Theres a sticky on here somewhere that Im sure one of the other members can direct you to that has information they recommend for first time mini parents. I've had Stella since July and I've never had so much fun in a car. If you decide to get this '05 you won't regret it! It looks like its got some great features, have you test driven it yet?

First of all you can not possibly go wrong with that color! As far as I can tell, it looks like a good deal to me...beautiful car, hope you get it!

Looks almost too good to be true - great color and option packages (edit: and NAV!), only thing I'd do different if I were ordering it would be to get color in the seats. Very nice.

You can check with the Mini dealer to confirm maintenance records and whether the car's been back for rehab, doa Carfax, etc. If you can find the dealer who serviced it the most you can check with them to see how the car was teated. Looks to be a really good find, nicely optioned. It IS a "love it or don't" color (I like it).

Aero Kit, Nav, pretty low miles, good year, low price. Looks like a heck of a good deal to me!

Here is the link that seems to be most informative on the various years. I wonder what kind of suspension that car has. Def not stock. Looks like a very, VERY good deal to me, especially with those few miles.
Here's what it should be saying, if you are listening:

Sheesh - call me unobservant, but do I also notice the factory Nav (love that voice!), floormats, heated seats, chrome pack, h/k sound, and and 18" wheels?!? I don't know if I could distinguish a car with or without the convenience pack in pictures, but I can't think of an option this car DOESN'T have. It even has the MiniFini (better than factory) cupholder, if I'm not seeing things. Is that the factory suspension? Looks a tad lower.

If the history checks out, buy it.

Very nice looking MINI. It is a 2005 Electric Blue (Last year EB was offered) low miles, fairly well equipped, sweet car all around.

Only on the R50 Coopers: Midland gears > Getrag 5 speed.

On the R53 S the gear ratios of the 6 speed Getrag were shortened, among a whole host of other improvements.

It looks like the previous owner took good care of it. Painted arches look great on that car!

Good looking mini...The only thing that I'm not too fond of in this model is all the chrome on the inside. But that comes down to personal preference....and thats why mini's are so easy to mod out! Once you get the mini bug it's all over from there. I thought I might check out some cooper s's, and two days later ended up signing the papers on one! hahaha....the more you keep looking the more your going to want one IMO!

Seems like a good deal for a low mile car that probably had all 3 packages from the factory + nav + aero kit + painted arches. And that's just what we can see in the pics - go for it!

Looks like a fair price for the car. No shots of the engine bay. The less work done under there the fewer questions marks on reliability. Stock exhaust is a good sign the engine is stock. As long as the panels are straight [no crashes] and it drives straight, it's probably a keeper.
