Driving Lamp Installer

Not only are the driving lamps so expensive, the cost of installation is expensive as well. However, I love the look of it and got to have it on my future MINI. Herb Chambers MINI and MOP charges $400 for the installation. Are there any shops in the Boston area that install these driving lamps cheaper?

I installed these on my MINI a couple of years ago. Not a hard install but not fun.

You could always contact Pete at DT Automotive in Worcester, MA. He is a sponsor of the Ocean State MINI Club and he does lots of work on our cars. He is reasonably priced and will provide excellent service.

You might ask Julian at sublimerestorations.com
I originally intended to install them myself until I found out the OEM ones are riveted to the hood! I bit the bullet and paid the $700.

Thanks for the link. I've talked to Pete in OceanstateMini and probably would have him install the lights when I pick up my new MINI. Btw, the driving lamps installed is now in the $800 range at the dealers. That's insanely expensive.

If you haven't already gotten the lamps search out some of your other options, and follow the install advice on NAM How to is in the int/ext mods section, its a different switch but can be done for abotu $60 store to car including tax if you're willing to spend an afternoon doing the work.

You need to get out more

The Dragon is an annual event (more for some - less for others) on a curvey little road tucked in the hills of NC & TN. Happens the first full weekend of May.

Have a little read.

I hate to see folks abused by the Dealerships when it come to doing mods like these. As others have said it's a very straight forward procedure and requires the very basic of tools. I wouldn't recommend the OEM lights, unless that's what you want (OEM), there are other better lights out there.

I've got a few theads of my installs on our cars, so have a look (search interior mods forum) and let me know if you've got any questions.
