Well, I said the same thing after the 12 Curves meet, and didn't follow through on it, but now I'm really serious about trying to put together a Southeastern CT/RI rally. Since I am not currently living in the immediate area, maybe someone would like to help out with this. I grew up in Mystic, so I know a lit of roads in the Stonington/N. Stonington/Voluntown area, but I'm sure there are quite a few great roads out there that I don't know about. Anyway, post if you're interested.

I'm not familiar with the area to help plan the route, but I'll come down from Boston if it comes together!

I'm a Chris too.

Good nuff! Plus, if anyone is the gambling type, this is right in the vicinity of Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. Not my cup of tea, but I've got the luck of a black cat walking under a ladder on Friday the 13th wearing a "kick me" sign

I spend a lot of time in that vicinity, can get inexpensive rooms, suites even, if anyone needed to stay over the night before such a meet.

I'm not at all familiar with the possibilities road-wise, but would be happy to help someone look around.

Alright, well, that's a positive response. Tonto, didn't get a chance to meet you at the rally on Sunday, what were you driving?

I'll help out. I just moved to N Stonington and while I'm still learning the roads, this area would make for a great rally. Keep me posted

Right on. I'll get some roads in mind once I get back from Ohio next week so I can email you a route or 2 to check out.

Hmm... there are a few "stops" on the Connecticut Wine trail (http://www.ctwine.com/) in that vicinity (check out "trip 2, Connecticut Shoreline&quot. They may serve as nice waypoints for a journey, and wineries always make good backdrops for pictures of MINIs (and nice places to take picnic breaks). Oh yeah, there's the wine, too (not that I'd advocate drinking and motoring mind you, but a little tasting never hurt anybody)...

That kind of route may coax me and the Mrs down from the Boston area.

That's a good call on the wineries. I was originally thinking Mystic Seaport but that could be an absolute DISASTER for a rally, especially on a Sunday.

Storer,

I got a little lost when coming out to Litchfield, saw Tonymini at the grocery store, he said you were waiting at the school while they made a quick stop, then, everyone was gone!! My girlfriend and I had no map, but Tonymini did, so we ran with him the first half and met up w/ the group for lunch.

I have a DS/W S, was third to last in the afternoon line-up. I could hardly keep up with you guys!! But what a blast!!

That's too bad on getting lost, the first half was great. Those roads really are something.

I did most of the first half with Tonymini, until it got to a point where we could no longer figure out the map, then we found the group for lunch. Was the first half better? In any case, it was more fun being part of a 20 MINI line-up than a 2 MINI line-up. I thought the roads on the second half were just fabulous!

Do I need to say I'll come? There are a certain sum of us who most certainly can be counted on to attend. I am in, barring global conflict. Sounds like a proper meet. Let's be sure and set these two new meets at least two weeks apart. Makes sense. I prefer Sundays, by the way. Go Storer!!!

The cookies were complements of Mrs Momini who is very pleased that you like them...(hint noted and request passed on to the baker).

Any SW Rhode Islanders out there? I know that there are some pretty good roads in that area (Ashford, etc.), so chime in if you're interested.
