speed-sensitive volume on HK?

guys,

i have an '04 mcs w/ the hk sound system, w/ aux input installed by the 1st owner. love the system, but it doesn't seem to have the speed-dependent volume function. i scroll thru the functions per the owner's manual and it's just not there. the nav level, aux level, etc are all there, but not the speed vol. now in the manual it doesn't say anything about aux input, so maybe when the dealer installed in the aux input jack they had to delete the speed-dependent volume program? ideas?

thanks!

Doesn't have it and never did. There is some ambiguous wording that has lead many (myself included) to believe the HK has it, but it doesn't.

Yeah... It has a speed volume... as my dealer explained it to me..."It's automatic, non user adjustable, and occurs at about 50mph" Could be my imagination, but I think my system becomes a little louder around 50mph or so. I was dissapointed, having enjoyed the Ford system....

well supposedly you can adjust how much it compensates, w/ 5 levels, per the radio manual

so does the hk have it or not? frankly i wouldn't be heartbroken if it doesn't, i just want to know

I have not found any adjustment for it despite what the manual says. There may be a slight compensation for higher speeds, but it's not really the "speed sensitive volume" like you'd expect.

If you hold one of the buttons on the head unit (i'm thinking the one with the little music note) it takes you to another menu. One of those options I think adjust the speed sensing.

edit: just went out to check. the first menu is "tone" and I couldn't. manage to make it do anything. The second is Navi something and you can adjust it from -9 to +9. Not sure if that is the speed sensing, but i have never messed with it before. someone passed this on to me a while back so take it as you will.

I've tried the 5 level thing and it does . . .nothing.

The speed sensing on the HK is automatic as stated above and there is no way to adjust it via the HU. This has been discussed over and over, nothing new.
