what is the latest Navteq map disk

I picked up my car about a month ago. Has a build date of June 3rd.

I just updated my NAV to 27.1 and noticed I had a map disk of 2005-2.

Should I have the 2006 disc or is it not out yet?

Ill be going to the dealer soon and wondered if i should bring this up.

any input appreciated. thanks

I would definitely make my dealer give me the 2006 disc. I got mine in Feb. and they had the excuse that the 2006 did not come out till march. Your dealership has no excuse. Not to mention its $199 to buy yourself.

Good luck I bugged my dealer about my 05 coming with an 03 disc and they told me thats what comes with the car. I have since updated the software and acquired the 2005 and 2006 DVDs

Nope, delivered in March 06 and got the 2005-01 disks. This actually made me happy because my 2004 330 came with 2002-01 disks that were 2.5 years out of date. Complaints to BMW NA fell on deaf ears; was told by everyone I had to purchase new NAVTec disks and there was nothing they could do. Was a complete waste of my time.

Wish I could tell you a happy story instead.

thanks for feedback speednut and BluMiniboy. My next visit is due for various things that either was damaged upon delivery or not working correctly so the map dvd may be a bit low on the priority list. Either way, im grateful to have at least an 05 disc.

Navteq update

We just got in todays mail from NAVTEQ a postcard for the 06 update for the NAV system (which is the CD based not the DVD).
It has a $50 instant rebate good until July 31st with it (which puts the price down to $175.00 for all the disc's).
You can get ahold of them by calling 1-877-628-8379 or go to www.navteq.com
