Gong Volume?

My uncle had an 08 MCS and I distinctively remember there being and option to adjust the gong volume in the sound menu. Now on my 02/07 build MCS I cant seem to find this option... Was this something that was added after my car was built?

It raises and lowers the warning signal in the car.

My apologies for not answering your question.
If it is in there you would need to push the button with the cleft (the music note) that would adjust the bass, treble etc. and then scroll all the way to the right and go to the next page/screen. The gong and speed volume settings should be on the "2nd" page of that screen.

My speed volume adjustment is on the first page. No matter how hard I try to scroll to the right there is no page two.

There were some updates to software between 2007 and 2008 and that i believe is one of them. SO there may be no way to adjust it on a 2007 MY car

I had a feeling it had something to do with missing updates. Looking at the service history online the previous owner NEVER took the car into a dealer. I think missi updates might be why my car is also missing the ability to adjust the auto wiper sensitivity. Is there ANY way to apply updates without taking it into the dealer. Last time I was in there I asked about applying updates and was told that it could ONLY be done if related to a repair....

There doesn't seem to be a gong adjustment on early 07, I can't in Tristan (built April 07), and can in Shawn (April 08).

Sounds like the dealer just does not want to deal with the updating. Most dealers will do it for money but in many cases it is a cost of about $300 or more to have it done.

The problem is that it may still not be available in you car as some of the reasons that they are not implemented are for hardware that can not handle it. I.E. i know there is a change in the head unit hardware for the 08 model year which adds a bunch of abilities that can NOT be done on the 07 head unit.
