2007 MCS with navigation Bluetooth problems

I currently have following situation with 2007 MC S with navigation and voice control: bluetooth see the phone and asking to provide the pin. However, once pin is put into device and matched on the other side, on a car side it tells me: verifying pin/password. After a while it changes to: Pairing unsuccessful. I've tried different phones ( including iphones and other approved phones ). Navigation and voice control are working fine.
Any ideas?

check this page on the mini site and see if you phone is listed as supported:
http://www.miniusa.com/bluetooth/

The other option is take it to the dealer and see if you need a software update.

It sounds as if the Bluetooth module is bad. This seem to be more an more of a problem with the 2007 cars. This is at least the third reported here with the exact same issue and the others have had the module replaced and then it works fine.

Maybe it just needs a software update... Does the pair list on the car list any phones and have tried clearing that list and then re-pairing?

As schatzy62 said it could be a bad bluetooth module and if you car is like mine (2008 MCS w/Nav) then the bluetooth module (ULF module High) is located under the drivers seat. And from what I have read in other post here and on my own MINI is that the sun roof drain can become clogged or the AC drain becomes disconnected and the floorboards will fill with water and the bluetooth module with just sit in that water and corrode.

I added bluetooth to my MINI and I order a module from a salvage dealer, and the module was corroded as if it had sat in water for a while; I will have to order a new one.

MiniRy: is this the part that you are talking about?

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Bluetooth/ES1906933/

Is it a good price for something that has only 30 days warranty?
All other places sell them for $300-$400

Yes that is the unit. Wow! That is the best price I have seen for that unit. I have order from them before. Create customer service.

Gotta love ECS Tuning.
