New guy question about I Pod
I have searched without success, (both on this site and on the net) my '07 MCS has a factory I pod input. It works, and recognizes my I pod and plays music no problem. I just can't figure out how to organize it. I have read on line to set up play lists and name them MINI 1 MINI 2 ,etc. etc. I have done this but with no success. Any help on this would be appreciated.
I assume you have the one which has the iPod connection in the secret compartment. I'm sure I just read the answer to this question around here recently. The MINIx playlists are for the first generation adapter, the 07 dealer installed adapter used a different system, you really should have got a manual with it. This is how the standard ("boost") radio does it, the nav system is different.
The number button each has a different function:
1: Playlists
2: Artists
3: Albums
4: Genres
5: Podcasts
6: Songs
The list button shows you the songs in the currently playing list (be it a playlist, artist, etc), the up arrow takes you to the list of lists, you can select one with the radio ****. The backarrow takes you back to the top display with the number buttons.
It really helps to print out a label with the functions of the number buttons and stick it to the radio.

Thanks for the reply, I bought the Cooper used, so no manual. You don't know where to find a PDF copy of the I Pod information do you?
5 Pages you say, care to make a scan of those five pages and post it up? Or is that the information you already mentioned in your previous post?

Thanks for the reply. You would not know where to download a PDF version of the manual for a 2007 would you?
