mini_mini,

Can you explain a little more of what the problem is with you audio system.

1. what type of CD are you using? Pre recorded (store bought), ONe tha tyou recorded your self, MP3 disc etc.

2. does this happen on all discs.

3. Do you have the Navigation system.

4. Is the CD player marked with the word "BOOST"

The answers to these questions will help us to figure out your problem.

It may be hard to do but prove it to the dealer and they will replace it for you It sounds like a problem only a replacement will fix if it is doing it on all discs including purchased standard CD's.

Not sure if this is related but I thought I read somewhere that some MINI's, depending upon model and country, would switch to the tuner if there was an emergency broadcast. Perhaps one was being transmitted or the radio thought there was.

tp is traffic program as you have this selected, the stereo will go to radio whenever a local station sends out a signal that they are about to broadcast traffic news
