Aftermarket iPod connectors?

Are there any good ipod connectors that will allow the ipod to work with the MFSW and stock radio? It's for a 2008. The dealer charges close to $500, which is insane. And I'm told that the 2008's have a "fiber optic" stereo, whatever that means, so won't work with the DiCE models.

Anything reasonable out there??

The mObridge kit will work with the MINI and is lightyears ahead of the MINI branded one:

I was looking for something in the ~$150 range. I can't believe there isn't anything out there for the same price as an '07 model.

You won't find a kit for the price you are looking for, MOST is a much more complicated system.

i think that the controls from the radio for the ipod suck. I would go with a cable that charges the ipod and provides line out and just control from the ipod. I find this works 100x better

I don't know about the radio controls, but do agree that the iPod adaptors are a great option. I have the Griffin AutoPilot & it works pretty good for me. Just $52 at BB. It charges the iPod and has pause/play/power, fwd, rew controls in easy reach (lighter outlet).
