I did it - I pulled my entire Harman Kardon "Hi-Fi" audio system from my '04 MCS and replaced it all with newer aftermarket components. Therefore it's my pleasure to offer the amp, speakers and head unit for sale to anyone who is in need.

I tried (I really, really did...) to pull the entire HK wiring harness, but it's buried within the main harness and it would be virtually impossible to set it free. But I did clip off the speaker connectors to help with an upgrade for those of you who would like to do so. It's my understanding that there is a MINI manufacturer-made retrofit HK wiring harness available, but don't quote me.

Everything works as it should. You can see how clean and perfect the speakers are - they look new! I have no idea at all if the amp is a replacement or original, but it works properly. You can also see that one hole in the front mounting of the HU is broken, but it has never been an issue and it's hidden anyway.

I'm not interested in selling the parts separately at this time. Asking $400 for everything you see in the pics, and I'm firm on the price. Plus shipping to the 48 states; pick up in SoCal means no extra shipping charge. If you only need the amp (most likely) you can have a nice set of extra speakers at no extra charge. But the amp will cost you $400.

ETA: based on the build date on the amp, it seems that this is the OEM-installed amp from day one. Still works like a charm.

 

I don't mean for this to become an auction, but if you guys want to PM offers to me for assorted components, I might sell things individually. For instance, if someone wants the door speakers only, or all speakers only, or the amp only... If the offers add up to my total asking price, I'll break up the items. But I will have to wait until the total hits the $400 price before I'll consider doing this. Until then, I'm firm on the price.

 

Amp is now out of the car (that b!tc# ) and ready to be boxed up for shipping.
