Colorado MINI Sightings - Post yours HERE

Good, I almost stopped and filled up as I passed by the Corner Station. It would be nice to know the brand of gas they are pumping.
I may have to make a road trip up in the middle of the week. A few more miles and a few more smiles.

MY :MC and MCS in C. Springs
I saw MY MCS driving northbound on academy past woodman at about 12 noon yesterday. Gentleman driving was white haired.
Also yesterday MY MC in parking lot of 2355 Briargate Parkway at about 415pm.
I was driving my other car so no one waved:(

Hey, I wave. I don't get many returns. I was on E470 driving towards DIA, one silver MINI, to far across the highway. On the way back I saw a nice CR Cabrio going through the toll gate towards DIA as I returned.
I have noted that a lot of MINI drivers in our fair state are commuters and not MINI enthusiasts.

I know.. I have seen two MCS today (11/16): one black MCS on I-25 and Belleview, North Bound, the other silver one on Sable Street by Aurora Mall. Both drivers gave me the "evil eye look". Don't know if I should stop waving at other MINIs if I keep getting the same silent treatments.

I hope he saw my wave since I almost missed his (watching the lunch nuts).

I work nights, so I am usually headed home in the mornings.
Don't stop waving!
Don't stop waving because the MINI you pass might be me and I'll definitely give you a wave and a smile.
I love seeing other MINI's on the road and apparently a lot of them live in my end of town.
It seems I can't cruise anywhere in Littleton or Lakewood without passing at least 3 every day.
Actually, last Friday, after a long day in the office I hopped on Kipling at 6th to notice a little blue MINI about 5 cars up. I sped up and got right behind him to stalk.....I mean follow him
down the road. He turned off past 285 but not before rolling down his window and giving me a wave goodbye.
It made my day!!

This is one of the reasons I love having a rear fog light. I love to give it a few flips to 'wink' at fellow motorers behind me. It's nice and subtle and segways well into my next comment.
I know it's not a MINI sighting but this made my day and I don't think it's known well enough. Back when I was a young'en and the highways were less populated my dad filled me in on two important rules of the concrete slab:
1) If you're a kid and you pull upside a big rig and pretend to honk the air horns most truckers will oblidge and treat you with a great cacophany of noise.
2) Most important, when you are along side a rig and he turns on his blinker, when you drop back to allow him to merge, as you clear his tail you should flash-to-pass to let him know he's clear to merge. In response he'll usually 'wink' his parking lights to acknowledge and say thanks.
I only bring this up 'cause I had a long haul from Highlands Ranch up to Brighton along I-25 and 'twixt there I was cut off many times, had folks use the HOV trailing lane to skip past those 3 or 4 cars that would get 'em to their destination 6 seconds faster, and I hadn't seen a fellow motorer for miles.
Then I saw a rig signal right to enter my lane. I dropped back (much to the dismay of the truck behind me) and flashed the driver that he was g2g to change into the lane to wit he responded with the 'thanks' parking light flash and we went on our merry way.
I know that I'm probably a bit old-fashioned (even at the ripe young age of 34) but I enjoy waving to my fellow mini motorers, sliding the rider's hail to felllow bikers, and most especially helping the big rigs keep the commerece rolling safely.

P.S. For anyone who wasn't graced with my extensive (I'm not going to let you raise my insurance rates) parential education, there's a few rules of the road I always stick to:
By law you must (and should) yield to a turn signal.
Be defensive (assume the other guy doesn't know what he's doing.)
Know the extreme limits of your transport (even if you never have to push 'em outside of autoX.
If anything bigger than you lets you know he requests your lane, drop back, flash-to-pass to let 'em know you're clear, and share the road.
Only use the far left lane to pass, ONLY to pass.
I don't wanna sound preachy at all, I just really like to share the road w/ everyone.

Today I saw a BRG/B MCS inbound to Boulder on the 36 a little after noonish.
Traffic was the usual so driving was focused.
Of course, it did not help I was driving the black liberty and not scooter.

Saw a Chili Red with white stripes much like mine yesterday afternoon in Fort Collins. Saw as I went by and couldn't wave since they were in the left turn lane and I was going by with all the shopping traffic. Not even sure they saw me. Seen this car a couple times... but don't know who it is.
As I was pulling into the east parking lot at DIA this AM, a nice BRG MCS came up and gave a nice wave. I think the plate was Lil. Qik or close to that. Anyone here?
Now I'm in Hays, KS. I saw a nice black MCS motoring west as I was coming up on Colby. I flashed, not sure they had a chance to respond.

silver MCSc with aftermarket exhaust, heading south on York to University this morning around 730-745am...as you crossed 1st avenue, another MCSc, blue, turned off of 1st and also headed south. I was in my DD Scooby so no way you would have noticed me, but it was cool seeing 2 MCSc right next to each other.
I saw one MCS blue/black on I70 a little east of Aurora, they were heading east. It was high traffic time around 3:30, so not sure they even saw me going towards the toll-way.
As an aside, I saw a really nice 07 LiB/W MCS traveling up to KC on the 7/71 Highways, we drove together for a few miles then he turned off below Peculiar. Distinguished white haired man with a knit cap, somewhat like myself.

That might be me Danandtan. I the same car as you except for the rims. I have the webspokes on mine. What area were you in?

I saw a female with a EB/W S yesterday at Quiznos near the theater on Powers in Co Sprgs. I think she was in a hurry...
And I saw a male today driving a EB/W S on Milton Proby in Co Sprgs, he flashed, waved, and smiled! It was great!

Hi all!
Just wanted to say hi. We picked up our '07 BRG/W MCS a few months ago. I forgot about this regional forum until having a chat with a guy working at Detailer's Paradise this weekend. Nice store. Anyway, you'll see me driving on I-25 between north denver and gunbarrel. Almost everyday I pass and wave at a blue MC (never looked at the car's tailpipes to see if it's a MC or MCS) on lookout rd in rural boulder county.
I have a question though. With the high-beams also being xenon for this option, is there any thought to only using them when you need 'em rather than giving a flash in the day time to say hi? Of course the owners manual doesn't say anything as I'm sure they don't want to give the impression of these bulbs wearing out prematurely. Not knowing, I've been giving a hand wave rather than flash the brights.
Finally, my car is stock, currently with snow tires on bridgespokes, front plate mounted to toe hook, and 3rd brake light flasher.

Good question, I do not know the technical answer
but I have been flashing folks for 5 years, and I drive with all my lights on.
Other than the ones I crunched in a, well, you know - I have yet to replace a light or a beam.
