Is There Anyone Left on NAM MINI5280?

Goodness, I see tumbleweeds here in this sub-forum...
Is there not a soul on here anymore?
Or is it all on Facebook (or other media site)?

The days of meet and greet on a forum are just about dead these days.

Except for those who loathe the other crappy forms of social media...

Yes I hear you. I have posted on two MINI forums and several MINI FB pages about wanting to do a TOTD run. Not one reply.

Wonder if it's the brand demographic?
The Audi and Volkswagen forums I'm apart are extremely active and current...

we used to love NAM, but when our sub forum got invaded w/ a million ads, especially for things like ford and hondas (and even more so when those were stickied@!), we pretty much went to all facebook for communication.

you can find us there, just look for mini5280 social hub, or MINI COW

Wish they would come back, I remember the days of 2005-2006 when this place was very busy.

Downside is I'm the rare breed of not being a Facebook member.
Any links to the hub or COW?

Is MINI COW for real? I typed it in the search box and real cows came up. I didn't know mini sized cows existed.

Way late to the party, but:

http://www.minicow.org/
https://mini5280.org/

I think most of it's FB, but MINI5280 has a great e-mailed newsletter with upcoming meetings/stuff in it.

Thanks, I did finally find minicow. It was the way I typed it in the search bar.

This is correct. I'm on both VW and Subaru forums that have plenty of activity. My opinion? FWIW ...

The issues with the tensioner killed a lot of enthusiasm for the car and it took it's toll. There may also be forum specific issues that I've tried to identify both publicly and privately here.

Going on facebook is only going to loose Peeps like me that will never have a facebook account.

Yep, its really hard to search and you cant find threads on FB. You have to be active in the conversion to even know what's going on. NAM threads are easy to find and you can use the search box to search OEM part numbers and find the Fixes. Been on here myself since 2004. Its very helpful here,

I was just PM'ing with another member about the New Posts menu thread. He is doing a build and his posts ( and others in the thread) never make it into the "NEW" posts thread. This has happened to all of us I am sure. This kind of thing is a sure thread killer and not good for the site.

Bingo - I'm not a Facebook user; an without cross-posting I won't be able to follow / join.

Looking for a 2005 or 2006

Hi, 5280 members,

I’m in Boulder County and I’m looking for another 2005 or 2006. R50 or R53. If you know of anyone selling a great example please DM me.

Happy motoring.
