Las Vegas mini club is dead.
Well it appears that “Sin City MINI Club” is dead, on February 14th I paid to join the club
then a few days later I came across there social page and everyone who was running it had resigned, then yesterday I got an email from them saying my payment had been refunded.

Oh, that stinks sin city MINI was a great group. We lost our local pittstopmini club that i was a member with for years. They are still on FB and other places just not organized as a inc..

Looks like its on the FB page. They had some great runs and the AMVIV was huge and a cool event on the west coast. Lost of the clubs were supported by the local dealers and that has gone away.
Stick with us on NAM we are still here.

They used to be very strong, now we have a lot of people just on FB and they don't really join clubs nor do much track events. Personally, been a member of the MINI clubs for years (since 2004) and supported the clubs/track events and helped with activities in the past for large meets. Porsche clubs are pretty strong and they have a huge history.
We have been a sponsor for two main MINI meets and will continue to do so. StanceMINI Club on the west coast and Cooper Cvlt Club MINI meet on the east coast and hopefully more here soon.
Hopefully, people will return to the MINI forums and the clubs/new clubs that help build the MINI enthusiast culture.

Lost a great club
In 2008, when I bought my first MINI, I joined REME, a MINI club in Healdsburg,CA. They had many events and were very well run. But the members who ran the club left and no one offered to take over their responsibility. It takes a lot of passion and effort to run a great auto club. Today I enjoy the NORCAL MINIs and , like REME, the club is run by some very passionate MINI owners. Also, their club doesn't seem to have the habit of constantly complaining that the first gen cars are somehow better than the second and third gen cars. Hardtops , vests, countrymen, clubman are all treated as welcome to their MINI group.

I'd say it's a regional thing. The Sunshine MINIs (Florida) used to be a pretty strong statewide group, and in some respects, it still is. The Tampa-area group is very well-organized, and growing, and I think there's a good group in JAX too. From what I know the Appalachian MINIs group is on par too. I've kept in touch with other MINI-loving friends who've moved and said their local groups were pretty thin and not very active, so I guess it just depends.
If there's nothing going on in a place like Vegas, I'd see that as an opportunity to take the lead & reignite things.

Yes i have met some of the sunshine MINI group and some of the other FL groups, they are still pretty active. The Socal MINI group was also strong and believe still is. I met some of those guys on MOTD a couple of years ago. I think MINUSA posted up all the club on their site also with links.
