If it wasn't hard, everyone would be doing it!
Dave's Beach Pic
Whoah!
How'd you do that?
I mean, how'd you get the details on the car while keeping so much background detail with so much backlighting? Reflector, lighting?
I guess that's what made my jaw drop looking at that pic.
Hey, isn't a SoCal winter great or what!
I'm back!
blacknblue inspired me to try something for a different background. Yesterday I spotted this location, about 12 miles away from home, so I used my limited experience to predict this sunset (really, it's dumb luck).

Let me know if it was helpful at all.
Framing composition.
Took a break to snap this out of my loft skylight this morning. I'm not going outside, brrrr!
Sorry, no MINI, breaking my own rules.
There's sumpin' to read for me...
[1/18: looks like Twilight Arch time!]

thanks so much for the link
Gotta love those reflections! They add to the feel of the images.
In Dave's, it's the lifeguard tower and setting sun. The tower adds to that sense of place, in this case, the beach. (Ahhh, SoCal!)
Pooch, I like those clouds reflecting off your door. In combination with the snow patches on the driveway acroos the street, those clouds say "winter." I only wish those other cars were not there- unless, of course, they were MINIs! Gotta watch when you shooting towards the sun (or any light source). There's a lot of glare there.
