The 'post' or whatever it is on the right hand edge is a shame...but dont know what to do about it
If you mean the very very slightly noticable vertical "post" on the right edge just as the turn is hooking out of the frame, I had to search for that, and never would have seen it without your pointing it out. (or was there something else that you cropped out already that you're commenting on).
A minor point, and it may just be me, but the whole picture looks like it could be rotated ever so slightly clockwise. My guess is that your camera was level when you shot this, but because of shooting up the hill, there is a slight feeling of being just a bit off of perpendicular.
Some of the black detail is getting lost in the shadows. I can't really make out where the bottom of the bumper ends and where the undercar shadow begins. A little fill flash may have helped bring out some of that detail.
All that said, I would be very happy with the picture (and the first one you showed). The colors in both are very good. Your red MINI really stands out nicely and the black steelies look totally appropriate for the scene in the second shot.
I took one off of I-40 at Seligman. Tonight's was at home.
I've been borrowing my wife's FUJIFILM S3100 dig. camera. Lousy for action shots, not intuitive menu. But our sunsets!

Man, do I miss AZ sunsets! Especially during monsoon season. CA is great and all, but ooh those Arizona sunsets!!
I miss the monsoons, we are now in the sixth longest drought.
For some reason we are getting alot of sunrise/sets. Need to keep the camera with me all the time.
