Feb. Breakfast

I was looking at the calendar this morning and it looks like our Feb. breakfast will be on 2/16, which is the same weekend of the release of the Clubman. I know last year you guys met up at MAG to look over the R56 and I was wondering if anyone would want to do the same for the Clubman. I know there have been several comments about MAG's lack of interest in our LAME club, but I thought someone said that there are some new people there now.

If MAG is not down with our shebang maybe we could do breakfast then drive north or south to see the cars? I am sure our Minister of Directions (Chuck this is you) could put together a good route.

My son was invited to the University of Cincy's "CINCINNATUS SCHOLARSHIP
COMPETITION" that weekend. He accepted and I thought about driving UP to see you guys. Hopefully someone will be there.

I don't think they'd have any problem with us showing up for this. Mark can get it sorted. I just hope we don't get as much snow that morning as we did last year when we went to MAG.

side note, someone find out if they will have any that day

Ugh

I have to work that day...the new Sugar Shack is opening at work, in preparation for the Maple Syrup Festival...thus I have to be present.

BUT, I DO hope to get out to either Cinci or MAG dealers to cehck out the clubman, it's been growing on me.

If you guys get over there AND they have a couple, take some pics for me please!

Our silver is reflective...quite useful in the good ole summertime...keeps the heat away.

I've found a nice pure 20w50 works well for me. Gives me a glossy coat.

Aren't you just a little worried about you son going to the CINCICANNABIS Festival?

If it was that kinda contest I would have invited all of the LAME club...sorry he is not that kind of guy... & doesn't take after mom, but then I hate the smell of smoke, I'm part Irish and a "gifted" drinker.

I've noticed a pattern: someone starts a new thread about the next breakfast. A few messages later, we are back on monkeys. Repeat.

I, unfortunately, will not be at the Feb breakfast as I have a dog show -- imagine autocross, running the course with a dog and no car. You've got the picture. I will be a the March breakfast with the MINI out of hibernation. Can't wait.

BTW, and not that anyone cares - Silver foxes use sunscreen, Oil of Olay, Dove and whatever we can find.

I will be there this month. Rain or shine. MAG or no MAG. Silverback or no silverback. You get the point.

Better watch out for those points, Cooper. They can be deadly on tires and licenses.

I suggest we contact Columbus area Tim Horton's for a specially made doughnut in honor of Chuck and distributed during the monthy breakfasts. Perhaps it could be called "monkey shines"....

According to MapQuest.com, Midwestern MINI is a 21 minute drive from OutMotoring. How about we head over there after breakfast @ Tim Hortons?

Last time, MAG brought us donuts and coffee. Who called ahead and set that up with them? Aaron? I can call and talk to the sales manager if we know we'll have people there.

We could have breakfast across the street at the B&E & then cross the street to marvel at the wonders of the Clubman.

Mark, are you still thinking about a Clubman as a new daily driver?
