Good call Aaron, I think there are a couple of people who come to the breakfast that don't really post on NAM.

Congrats on the anniversary! Speaking of Andrea, does she know you are online or does this count as acceptable work usage?

I may drive friday evening or go down Saturday in the AM.
I just (1/5/08) purchased a Dark Gray 'o3 'S'.
Perhaps, I will see you on the road.

As it stands now we are going to head down Saturday morning ,I'll shoot over to 71 and down ... I'd guess you would end up heading down 30 thru wooster to pick up 71 ... LMK possibly meet up on the way down...

That would be the mighty Dodge Avenger, and a very nice one at that it needs a big wing in the back to balance out the carbon splitter up front

I alwasy liked that car, a guy I met in Detroit once had a really nice blacked out one with an intake exhaust and a couple other mods but no suspension work and it was a beast.

Any pics from your track days? Who were your competitors in that class?

that was the cornering/braking events ...
This event was strange as there were "classes"
4 cylinder,4 forced induction(turbo,NOS , S/C ), 6 Cyl, 6 forced,8 and above(Viper), 8 forced ...
But for the King of the streets it was one trophy winner take all
There were Mustang GT's Camaros, corvettes, hondas, acuras Mitsu EVOS subu WRX's ,Tibbys and scions

Nope there is some cros compatability issue where the new one will not accept the old wheels. They changed the size of the bolts used to secure the wheels. So if you got an original BMW Mini then yes the wheels can go on your car, but if you are a 2nd Gen owner you are stuck with new or aftermarket wheels.

Wheels, wheels & more wheels........

Morning Allen.

Steve what I have been led to believe is all of the oem MINI wheels will fit either with 12mm lug bolts or 14mm lug bolts.

The problem comes from the R56 MCS having larger front brakes. The 15" MINI wheels no longer fit those wheels because of front brake clearance issues.

Think they will make a small brake kit so people can run hollies?

Morning to you as well Chuck, don't you have a bus to drive or something?

Just got this from Kris:

"Hey Matt! Just wanted to let you know that we are looking forward to seeing some people here tomorrow. I just ordered about 4-5 dozen donughts from Tim Horton's and there will be coffee here in the showroom as well. There will be 2 Clubman's here in the showroom for people to crawl around in and there should be 4 or 5 ready to drive. I really would like this to be a chance for me to meet the people that are holding the fabric of the Columbus MINI community together. My hope is that MAG can be more intimately intertwined with the local effort here. Also, there will be a sign up sheet for everyone to sign up for the new MAG MINI Monthly newsletter. This is something that I am going to be putting together and mailing out to everyone once a month. I think this is an excellent opportunity for everyone involved to stay more connected. O.k., I'm gonna go for now but I look forward to meeting as many people tomorrow as I can. Feel free to forward this if you wish. Thank you Matt!!
"

If you buy a R56 Cooper there are no issues at all. The SBK is standard equipment.

School is out so I'm out.

Speaking of brakes, let me know if this sounds good to you.

I'm thinking of what I'll do for track brakes. I'm going to take my pads & soak them in Brat juice for a few days. Then I'll slap them on for Nelson. Can you imagine the wonderful aroma when I hit the brakes for turn 12?

Yeah, I'm happy to see MAG taking a more direct interest in the local group. With Outmotoring exiting the local scene, having some additional support will only help.

Free donuts & coffee. I think I'm going to like this fellow.

Bob Evans, Post Rd., Dublin...right across the street from MAG [Midwestern Auto Group], around 8 AM, for breakfast. At 9, we wander over to MAG, to see the new Clubman firsthand, AND to consume more doughnuts and coffee.
