September 9 LAST MIATA AUTOX!!!
September 9 LAST MIATA AUTOX!!!
OK we had a good Mini turn out today at the Miata AutoX. The last one is a few weeks off and I wanted to remind everybody about it. Cooper is going to get his car alligned so that his times get better than this week
If we could get a couple 07 Mini's and some old farts there that would be perfect.

Once you learned the course
you had some smooth quick runs today Sean. I pulled off a mid 46, but most of my runs were in the 48's today. Your 48.80 in a MC with 17" S Lites with runflats makes me think to myself, "Was it worth putting all that junk on my car?" But I don't want to put all the blame on the car, I know its mostly the driver. Anyway I definitley like the new sporty look of your MC with the 17" S lites.
I also wish that some of the old farts, especially Chick Mini, would show up and have some fun with all of us for the last autocross of the season. I believe the other Sean in the 2003 IB/W MCS was also a little disappointed in his MCS today; I believe his times were almost identical to mine, but we were expecting to be in the low to mid 45 second range...
I am uploading some of the photos from today's autox so expect a link later.
Finally, for the next autox I will have fresh ATE Superblue brake fluid, my car lowered 2.5 inches in front, .75" in the rear, new allignment, and corner balanced with me in it. After all that, I will really have no excuses left for not being the fastest Mini out there, except driver error.

No worries. If you call me Sean next time and I get good times then you can just call me Sean on AutoX days
And Cooper has not driven my car, he is more of an S kinda guy. I did ride around the track with him once and his car has some mad mid-high end pull.

Those who did not come missed out!!!! 12 runs and David in his red S had FTD by half a second on his last run!!!!
But the BIGGEST news, Cooper let someone drive HIS car and he didn't even drive anybody else's

The biggest news is that a fellow Mini had the FTD...
My car is about to get a little overhaul before next season...
Also, it was really fun driving fast in the rain today. I really enjoyed hitting the 2 inch deep puddles in 1st gear WOT and making a cloud of water shoot up around the car.

I didn't think that driving in the rain would be as much fun as it was, but with the stiffer swaybar it made it pretty entertaining when I chopped the throttle and kicked the back end out! It was also kinda nice leveling the playing field a little with the Miatas
