Kim:

This is a hilarious!

Many have asked me if I own a deli. Few know it, but "Deli" is actually short for David Eli (my middle name)...but I enjoy a good deli.

I am going to call Jay tonight and try to caravan.

That would be cool ... We're taking Jay and Kim down to Towson to pick up their new Mini that Saturday, so he'll be extra excited about the drive...

Hey Dave, wierd factiod, used to have a Saturn back in the early 90s ... a 1992, it was Aqua ... I also had a Harley that I wanted a unique but off the shelf paint for, so I painted it Saturn Aqua ... then HD came out with their own Aqua the next year, I was bummed.

Anyway, hope to see you Sunday morning for the drive over to Bucks county.

Pocket_Rocket has outdone himself this time. He invited the Philadelphia Inquirer to our meet and they are coming to take pictures of us

Is that a dream assignment for a photographer or what?

I have to confess that on the dry run, I didn't pay much attention to the speed limit signs. 25-45 mph I'd say. These are the back roads of Bucks County, this won't be a high speed ride.

Has any one given Triumph Brewing a heads-up that there will be a huge influx of people Sunday afternoon?

LaughScott is on top of that. He confirmed with the folks at Triumph today. We'll call them on Sunday morning after we get a head count for dinner.

I wish I could join all of you, alas my mini will not be born until October. I WILL, however, be ready for a fall ride. Harrisburg, Carlisle area wonderful places to motor...especially Mt Holly Springs.

There will be several future MINI owners in attendance. You are welcome to join us. Look, Deli found himself a pair of Cooper Ss to escort him to Bucks Cty in his Saturn

As you said earlier Oilman930, word of mouth is getting this event spread and there are a few people that "told a friend".

Hey Jay,

As HARMINI said, Triumph is totally cool with the size of the group. They're thrilled to have us all aboard, and said "Bring 'em on!".

They'll even have the outdoor tables set for the Mascot owners, and other dog-lovers in the group!!!

We will need to get an accurate count for dinner when we check-in at 10:30AM. The Four Musketeers have been talking, and with so many MINIs, we're going to "tag" all of you, so we can keep track of everyone, and get the "party count" for the dinner.

So, thanks to Otto's MINI, all of your MINIs will be serviced on Sunday!!! Or, shall I say, you'll have service tags for the rear view mirrors, so we can identify you, and so the "Judges" can review your rides for the awards!!!

When you get to the Cafe in the morning, we'll be waiting for you. You'll receive the written driving directions, the contest categories and a Service Tag. All we need from you is your plate number, your Motorist's names and whether you will be attending dinner. Remember, put the tags on your MINIs!

It is important to note that each table will be responsible for their tabs, and we are ordering from the menu, nothing special.

So, who are your Judges, well, the FAB 5, of course, plus two!

Kim, Tammie, Craig, Jack and Scott, along with Joe and George from Otto's.

Cheers.

Scott

So, is there a "lowest mileage MINI" or "newest MINI owner" award?

Hey Jay,

We don't want to give away the Awards categories yet!!!

We want some of you to be surprised when you get here on Sunday!!

But.... That is ONE category we have bantered about, as it seems that at least 5-6 of you have picked up your MINIs in the past week, and Otto's is dilligently trying to schedule MANY deliveries before Sunday, so that a few more of their customers can attend!!!

Rest assured, many categories, many awards. Working with Otto's tomorrow on all the chatchkas, and we'll have a few other surprises as well!!!

Cheers.

Scott

Well Jay's delivery is going to be Saturday Morning... but he's got to drive it back from Towson to Harrisburg, then from Harrisburg to the run, so it will be close if someone else picks theirs up at Ottos ...

Close, that is, if there IS actually a low mileage category.

WOW, I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing all those Minis!

Good job everyone... thanks Ottos ... etc ....

I tell 'ya.... if most of the folks attending this gathering also make an attempt to go to the Deals Gap rally next year, that rally will be "off the hizook", as they say. I easily expect the Deals Gap turnout to be in the *hundreds* of cars this time around.
